Hi there, well after spending this morning stripping wallpaper I've decided to take it easy and watch Wimbledon on the Telly while blogging. It's a bit sticky here today but I'm not complaining, it's great to have some nice weather.
Well I've a card and a tag to share with you today. My daughter's sister-in-law has had a gorgeous baby girl and these are for them.
The tag was to put on a basket of goodies for them all. Pampering stuff for Mommy, Guinness for Daddy and some cute little things for baby.  The flowers and paper are Cute Companions.
Baby Tag

I used the Cute Companions CD to print the letters and paper. It is decorated with Cute Companion stamps which are just peeking through the apertures.
Well that's all from me for the moment except to remind you that there is a new blog starting up this Thursday Just Inspirational Challenges. you might want to check it out.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon.

Tuesday Taggers - Wedding Day

Today being Tuesday it's time for another challenge over at Tuesday Taggers.  This week the theme of Weddings has been chosen by myself.  I thought as we are well into the Wedding season this would be quite appropriate.
This week our fantastic friends at The Craft Barn are sponsoring the challenge and so there is a £15 voucher for the winner who will be chosen at random.  So don't forget you must leave a link to The Craft Barn in your post to be eligible for the draw.

Here is my take on the theme.

A girl can never have too many shoes!

Shoes
Hi and as it's Tuesday it's time for another challenge.  This week the theme has been set by our super talented Sally and she  has chosen a subject that is very close to every girls heart Shoes. So without further ado here is my creation.

This shoe was made using a template I came across on the fantastic blog belonging to the extremely talented Terri .So thank you so much Teri  for the brilliant template and the super video clip.

I printed a design from the Crafters Companon Floral CD onto two sheets of  card and printed the template onto the reverse side.  Then I simply followed the very easy instructions and voila.  Just added a bit of lace gathered to make a flower with a pretty brad for the centre. I added some sticky ribbon around the back of the heel.  To be honest mine doesn't compare to the fabulous  shoe on Terri's blog but it was my first attempt so my next one should be better.

Tuesday Taggers Shoes
Now it's your turn and I think you'll agree the possibilities are endless for this challenge.  You can use shoes of any kind, sandles, flipflops, slippers, wellies even hob nail boots if that's what takes your fancy.  Don't forget you can create anything you like, card, tag, bookmark, atc, altered item it's entirely up to you.  That's what makes this challenge great.

So do please pop over to the challenge blog and check out all the fabulous creations that my very talented fellow teamies have designed to inspire you.

Thanks for stopping by and I look  forward to checking out you creations.

Just because

Well what a gorgeous day it is here in the West  Midlands hope it is just as lovely where ever you are.
Went shopping this morning for bedroom furniture and got a great deal so spent £300 less than we thought we were going to. Oh I do love a bargain, well not exactly a bargain as we still had to part with quite a substantial sum but you know what I mean.
Anyway my intention was to get on with some DT work when we got back but couldn't get inspired.  So I decided to use some of the bits and bobs I had lying around on my desk and make a card to try and get the juices flowing and just because I wanted to.
Well here it is.

Riaby Elisabeth Bell
I had some oddments of K & Co paper and an SCACD Ria image by Elisabeth Bell (SCACD stamps available from Crafters Companion)already stamped just waiting to be coloured with my copics.  I punched out a few flowers used a piece of ribbon from my stash and there you have it.

Well I really had better go and try to get inspired as time is running out but the lovely sunshine is calling me into the garden and I'm finding it very difficult to resist.

Who will win sunshine or cards?  I'll let you know.

By for now and thanks so much for stopping by.

Here's hoping we have another lovely sunny day tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Goodnight,

Tuesday Taggers - Vintage bookmark

What an amazing number of entries we had for last weeks challenge of All that Blooms, you certainly liked that one.  I must say the entries were absolutely stunning with such a varied selection of styles which is what makes this challenge so fantastic.

This week the challenge has been set by our brilliant teamie Ildiko and she would like you to create a Vintage bookmark.  It can be a standalone one or maybe you would like to incorporate one into a card design, it's up to you.

Please pop over to the TT challenge blog for inspiration and more details.  The design team have done themselves proud again and come up with a very varied selection of styles.

So here is mine.
I coloured the base card using tattered rose DI then stamped the Crafty Individuals swirl 235 and spritzed with iridescent gold Glimmer Mist.
I ran a piece of Gemstones card through the cuttlebug to emboss it.
The lace is from stash and is coloured using copic E37
The image is a Crafty Individuals People & Places miniature.
The ribbon & buttons are from stash.

Looking forward to seeing your fabulous creations.
Thanks for visiting.

Family Day.

Do hope you've had a good weekend.
We've had a lovely family Sunday today.  Our son Jonathan and his girlfriend came for lunch of roast lamb with all the trimmings and plenty of lovely roast potatoes.  They were both hung over after watching the England match with friends last night but didn't get any sympathy from me,  well it was self inflicted  LOL!

Then this afternoon we went over to our daughters as it was our Grandson Elliot's 7th birthday.  He had a ten pin bowling  party with his friends earlier in the day.  We spent a lovely afternoon playing with Elliots toys and goodness knows where they are all going to get stored.

Here is the card I made for him. I decided to use the fabulous WOJ freebie Spider Henry (link on sidebar)and made a gift card.  I saw this idea on Bev's blog and thought it would be perfect to hold a packet of Elliot's favourite sweets.
Spider Henry 1

I coloured Henry with copics and cut him out using the ever popular nesties.  I suspended the nestie mat using some silver thread so that it swings. The papers are downloads which at the moment I can't recall where  from, I'll get back with that info when I remember. I computer generated the 7 and the ribbon is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you back again soon.

It's all good.

Just a quickie to let you know that I am not MIA as the broadband swap went ahead very smoothly indeed, I am relieved  to say.  We moved from BT to Sky so keeping fingers crossed that the service is good.  It's been excellent so far.

While I'm here I would just like to let you know about the fantastic service I received from Phoenix Direct who I get my printer ink from.  Ordered my Canon compatibles Monday lunchtime and received them next morning.  I have no link to them at all just think we should  praise  those who offer us great service.

Well off my soap box now,

Back again soon

Tuesday Taggers - All that Blooms

It's Tuesday again, just where does all the time go?
Well firstly I would like to thank everyone who joined in our last Tuesday Taggers challenge and judging by the number of entries the theme of Textures certainly got your imagination working.  The entries were and are fantastic.

Now for this weeks challenge which has been set by our fantastic teamie Janet who has chosen All that blooms as the theme.  Plenty of room for scope there I think so I'm expecting that we are going to get some bloomin' smashin' entries (sorry!)

Here is my tri-fold card.
I've used image and sentiment stamps from a Buzz Crafts Olivers Orchard set #486  coloured  with Whisper pens.
The spotty paper (I love spotty paper) is from a set by Wild  Rose Studio,  Polka Dots.
The flowers are cut on the cuttlebug as is the nestie tag.
The gorgeous ribbon was bought from The Treasury in Kidderminster
(I may have to pay a return visit!)

Tuesday Taggers Blooms

Lucky old me

Hi, well today I received a beautiful tag from Lisa as part of the Tuesday Taggers birthday celebration challenge. Thank you Lisa.
Well I went over to her blog to thank her and saw that she was offering candy when she reached 100 followers and guess what it was at 99 so I just had to become the 100th didn't I. To be honest I would have become a follower anyway as Lisa is very talented and her blog is well worth a visit. Upshot is that Lisa is sending me some candy as well as making some available to all her other followers. So it's thanks again Lisa.

You may have noticed a couple of blinkies at the top right of this blog which link to the two brand new blogs belonging to
Crafters Companion. So please feel free to give them a little click to find out what's going on and to hear about some fantastic candy Sara is offering.

That's it from me at the moment.
Catch you later,
Pat xx

Texture

Texture

Hi, well we had a few problems with Mr Linky but it didn't stop so many of you joining in the last challenge and what fantastic creations you clever crafters came up with. Thanks for joining us.

Before we go on to this weeks challenge I would just like to let you know, if you don't already, that our fantastic teamie
Michelle has a project featured in the latest edition of Craft Stamper magazine. Well we all know what a very talented lady Michelle is so it's no real suprise to see her in print in such a prestigious magazine. Well done Michelle.

Right, this weeks challenge has been chosen by another talented member of the TT DT
Zoe. How lucky am I to be part of this team which such clever girls. Zoe would like you to use texture in your creation this week and as usual you can make whatever takes your fancy along as there's some texture somewhere. We are sponsored this week by Tanda Stamps so well worth entering this week to be in with a chance of their fantastic prize. Leave a link to them on your blog in order to qualify for the random draw.

I decided to use some
Flower Soft which is something I don't very often use but must admit it does look very pretty. I haven't done any stamping at all on this one as I've used a printed decoupage by FS. To be honest I have been so busy this week sample making that I had to choose a quick option. I did enjoy doing this though, it's quite relaxing really as there's not too much to think about but you end up with a fabulous design. Well here it is, hope you like it.
Don't forget to check out the DT's fabulous creations and we look forward to seeing your take on the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by, I really do appreciate it.
Love, Pat xx
