Grande Journeys

Good afternoon one and all.
I'm back from a visit to the hairdressers where they've done their best to make me beautiful again. Well all I can say is the hair looks good if nothing else!!

I've another card made using Jayne's new Grande Journey
stamps and a reminder that Jayne's new website officially goes live tomorrow. Could I please ask that you pay Jayne a visit on her new Facebook page "Time for Tea" and click like

So here's the card a shadow box this time using the Taj Mahal  stamped onto acetate and layered onto a paper made using alcohol inks and blending solution. The corners and flowers are from the stamp sets too. All coloured with Whisper watercolour brush pens.

Well that's it from me for today. Did lots of house work yesterday so I think that entitles me to do some more crafting this afternoon. Oh just forgot I've got a pile of ironing to do but I think I'll conveniently let it slip my memory again. Crafting it is then!
Thank you for visiting

Another little peak

I'm back with another card and a little reminder that Jayne Nestorenko's new website will be up and running on Wednesday. She will be launching her new Just My Imagination collection of stamps and the first set Grande Journeys.

I used the lovely Indian Princess again for this card but went for a different colour selection this time.

Actually the  blue card is  purple which really compliments the outfit but as usual my camera doesn't do purple. The glitter doesn't show either and there is loads of it!
Anyway it's a simple card but to be honest these images say it all.

Back with another peek tomorrow.
Thanks for visiting

A bit of retail therapy

Hello there dear friends.
Well I'm back from a bit of retail therapy at Telford Shopping Centre. No crafty bits today but I did manage to add to my wardrobe, well there was 50% off the top I bought and 20% off the watch. I also bought some eye makeup which is something I rarely wear as I have very sensitive eyes. I got Clinique so I am hoping I will be OK with that as they say it is opthalmically (something like that) tested.

Anyway enough of my shopping exploits. I have a couple of cards to share with you today.
This first one is one I made just because I came across the cute little image amongst one of my boxes of stamps while looking for another stamp which I still haven't found!!

The lovely cute girl and the flipflops are coloured with copics and I think the paper is Wild Rose Studio if my memory serves me correct (unfortunately it often lets me down). The flowers are Petaloo which I've had lying about for a long time and the sentiment is Craftwork  cards.

Now the next one is another I made using the Just my Imagination Grande Journeys stamps which will be launched on Jayne Nestorenko's new website on Wednesday.
This time I've used the accessories set.

The lampost, corners and flowers are all from the set. I coloured the lampost using Whisper brush pens. I coloured the flowers with pearlescent paints and added a touch of glitter. I added glitter to the corners and to the spellbinders flourish.  The blue oval panel was created at Jayne's workshop using Distress Inks on glossy card and it really does give a lovely effect.

Jayne's new website news

Hi everyone from a very wet and dismal West Midlands of the UK. Never mind the longest day it's more like the dullest!

Oriental lady

Well another lovely day, two in a row, can't believe it!

Here is another card I've made using the Oriental lady from Jayne Nestorenko's new collection Just My Imagination.

The fans, flowers and leaves are from the accessories stamp plate that is available from the collection. I embossed all the images using ultrafine gold embossing powder and then coloured them with copics. I did add a touch of glitter on the flowers but unfortunately it doesn't show on the photo.

Well that's it from me for today as we are off out to lunch with our daughter, her treat.

Enjoy the rest of the day

Another Gorgeous lady

Whoo hoo, sunshine today and no rain so far!

Thought I'd share another peek of Jayne Nestorenko's  gorgeous Just my Imagination stamps which will be on sale later in the month on her new website.

For this card I've used the beautiful Oriental lady and the gorgeous scene to go with her. I decided to create a kick card this time.
I stamped the scene using a Big and Juicy Mountain Meadow ink pad and just pulled in the colour a little. I used a Martha Stuart punch for the border.
I coloured the lady using copics and cut out the image using the Spellbinders Frameability Classic Frame die
The paper is from my stash.

I'll share another card tomorrow if you'd like to pop back.
Thank you for visiting

Jayne's secret's out

What a wonderful day I had yesterday
at Jayne's workshop.  We worked with Jayne's new Just my Imagination, Grand Journey's stamp collection.  There are seven stamp plates, three gorgeous ladies, 3 scenes and an accessories set. Well we all know how amazingly talented  Jayne is but I must tell you she has excelled herself with this collection. Although the stamps wont be available until later in the month to order from her new website Jayne says it's OK to let us share a little peek.

So here are a couple of cards we made.

Isn't this Indian Princess gorgeous? I chose to colour it with copics and of course it was well and truly glittered. The border was made using a corner stamp from the collection.

This next one is the Venetian lady and the beautiful scene that you can get to go with her. I coloured her and the scene with copics too.

Well I'll show you some more when I've had a play.

Back soon
Love

It's finally stopped!!

Well surprise, surprise I finally got around to doing some blogging.
I have been about but now I've got my new phone I don't feel the need to put the computer on so often. Trouble is the phones now taken over my life but I don't know how to post on my on my blog.  What did we do before technology? I think the answer to that is I made more instead of reading about it.

Here are a few makes that I've done since I was last here.

This first one is a cross over card done as an easel card if you get what I mean. The image is a freebie from Craft Stamper coloured with copics and stickles.  The sentiment on the tag was computer generated and sorry I didn't take a picture of the tag but this is what it says.
Go Confidently in the Direction of your dreams
Live the life you have imagined.
The flourish is a Spellbinders and the flower was cut with a Marianne die.

This is the accompanying box which holds a little gift for a dear friend

I created the backing paper for this one using Distress inks and whisper brush pens. The stamp is by Attic Rose

The focal point of this one is a Marianne die

Well that's it from me today.  I have a lovely day to look forward to tomorrow as I am attending a workshop with the lovely Jayne Nestorenko and I believe we are going to be using her new "Just my Imagination" stamps. I'm getting very excited now!

I'll let you know how we get on and maybe share some photos during the week.

Thank you for visiting and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
