An overdue post

It's been a while but I'm back with a few cards that I made just for fun.

The first one was inspired by a window display I saw while out shopping the other day. I loved the pink, brown, beige and torquoise colour combo.

This next one I designed after making up some backing paper using distress inks and gold embossing. The stamp used is the Naked Tree by Clarity Stamp

The final card was also designed using some backing paper I made up using distress inks. For the flower and the mat layer I also used some pearl paper that I made up a while ago and had stashed away. The stamp is by  Crafty Individuals.

Just noticed I'm showing as being in Surbiton no wonder I've been missing!!

Hopefully I'll get back a bit sooner next time. In the mean time thank you for visiting, I really appreciate it.

A pretty young lady

Today I would like to share a card I made using a spellbinder die I bought last week on one of our trips out to a Garden Centre. Yes another Garden Centre with a craft shop, perfect! It's Birkley Garden Centre at Barton under Needwood in Staffordshire.

Actually the card is lilac not blue as it looks on the photo.  The image is from Crafty Individuals Miniatures People and Places 2. The card in cordinations. The dies are Nestabilities Decorative Elements labels twenty seven and Shapeabilities Persian Accents. The embossing is a Coutour Creations Romantique collection Annalee which was a gift from a dear friend.

I am entering this card in the following challenges

Very good wishes

Inspiration from your home.

Hope you all had a good Mothers Day and got spoilt rotten.  I had some lovely gifts Cupcakes, Chocolates, Flowers,  a gorgeous box of smellies but best of all the company of my two wonderful children their partners, my two gorgeous grandchildren and my Mum,perfect!

For our challenge at Try it on Tuesday this week we'd like you to create a Card and share with us something from your home as inspiration for the design.  I wouldn't say we are nosey just a little bit inquisitive.  The challenge is sponsored this week by One Stop Card Crafts and to be in with a chance of winning their £10 voucher you must link them in your post.

My inspiration came from the bed in the spare bedroom. Mind you don't look too closely as the bedlinen looks a bit "distressed".

I used a mask and Faded Jeans distress ink to create the diamond background then used Vintage Photo DI around the edges.  The stamp is by Crafty Individuals CI-069 stamped using Momento Espresso and edges with Faded jeans DI then stickled around the edges. The flower, gems and lace are from my stash.

We do hope you'll join us this week, so please take a look at the fabulous DT creations over on the challenge blog to get some ideas.

Enjoy your day,and thanks for stopping by,

Pat xx

Tuesday Taggers - Vintage bookmark

What an amazing number of entries we had for last weeks challenge of All that Blooms, you certainly liked that one.  I must say the entries were absolutely stunning with such a varied selection of styles which is what makes this challenge so fantastic.

This week the challenge has been set by our brilliant teamie Ildiko and she would like you to create a Vintage bookmark.  It can be a standalone one or maybe you would like to incorporate one into a card design, it's up to you.

Please pop over to the TT challenge blog for inspiration and more details.  The design team have done themselves proud again and come up with a very varied selection of styles.

So here is mine.
I coloured the base card using tattered rose DI then stamped the Crafty Individuals swirl 235 and spritzed with iridescent gold Glimmer Mist.
I ran a piece of Gemstones card through the cuttlebug to emboss it.
The lace is from stash and is coloured using copic E37
The image is a Crafty Individuals People & Places miniature.
The ribbon & buttons are from stash.

Tuesday Taggers Vintage bookmark
Looking forward to seeing your fabulous creations.
Thanks for visiting.
