Oh it's Wednesday!!

Hope you enjoyed the Christmas festivities and that Santa brought you some lovely crafting goodies amongst other things.  My crafting gifts included a gorgeous book on vellum and parchment craft from my lovely friend Delena  and a big box of goodies including rubber stamps, card and papers from my dear friend Jayne. I shall be putting them to good use very soon.

Well now I'd better get on with showing you my creation for the Try it on Tuesday challenge even though it is now Wednesday. Apologies for being late but you know how it is!
Its Alter it week and the theme is to recycle your Christmas wrapping.
As usual the challenge is sponsored by our good friends at the Craft Barn so for more info just pop on over to the challenge blog.

Sorry the photos not great. I took a glass bauble and put some rolled used wrapping paper inside, added some glitter berries and holly leaves and finished off with ribbon from a present. All ready for the tree next year. Who said I couldn't be organised!

We are off out for a family meal today, as if we hadn't eaten enough, which will be nice. So better go and get my glad rags ready.
Enjoy your day,
Pat xxx

Anything Goes

Are you ready for the Christmas festivities? I've just got a bit of food shopping to do but apart from that I'm good to go as they say.
This week the Try it on Tuesday challenge is Anything Goes.  I've chosen to go with a card and it's not a Christmas one. My good friend Ann's daughter had a gorgeous baby boy last week so I had cards to make for the proud parents and grandparents and decided that I would use them for my challenge project.

This first one I made for the proud parents.

The gorgeous little stamp is by Lily of the Valley coloured with copics.

This is the one I did for the grandparents

Isn't it such a cute image, I love it.

Hope you'll pay a visit to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the team have come up with because as always they've done a great job.

Enjoy your day.
Hugs

Tags Galore and a little bit more!

I've a few things to share with you today.
I'll start with my tag for the Try it on Tuesday challenge, Tags Galore.

Background - Cosmic shimmer sprays and stamped and embossed in white snowflakes (look more like flowers to me, oh well)
Stamp - Freebie with CS Magazine cut out with nestie
Ribbon from stash.
If you'd like to see more please stop by the TioT challenge blog to check out the fantastic tags the team have created.

Now here is a picture of the Christmas wreath I made at the workshop

This card is for my gorgeous Granddaughter

The image is a Gorguss Girl coloured with Copics and Polychromos pencils. The stripey paper I made in Craft Artist and the snowflakes were cut with a Cuttlebug die and glamour dusted. The hearts were cut on the Slice.

I'm off to Birmingham today with my daughter. I've got all my presents but I dare say something will take my fancy.
Thanks for stopping by
Hugs

Christmas workshop

I have a Christmas flower arrangement to share with you today.
My daughter Justine and myself went to a workshop run by a local florist The Flower Shop in Codsall on Wednesday evening.
I've never attempted flower arranging before, more the bung 'em in the vase technique!
Anyway we thoroughly enjoyed it and here is my finished piece.

Not the greatest picture but the light was rubbish yesterday and the photographer's not much better.
Anyway what do you think? I'm pleased with it for my  first attempt. Just shows you how talented the ladies from the shop are as the design is down to them we just followed along.
We also made a Christmas wreath for the front door. I'm still adding some finishing touches to that but I am pleased with it.
Yet another craft I'm dabbling in. I have lost count of how many craft techniques I've given a go over the years. As they say "Jack of all trades, master of non" well that's me.

Thank you for visiting me today and I hoope you all have a great day.

The Big Man

Good morning. Brrrr it's a bit chilly isn't it?
No snow here yet just hope it stays that way.

Well today being Tuesday it's time for the Try it on Tuesday challenge.
This week we would like to see cards with an image of the Big Man himself to celebrate St Nicholas Day.

I've used a Kanban stamp which I coloured with Copics and polychromos pencils then added Polar White Flower Soft on the beard and fur. The sentiment is from the same Kanban stamp set as is the flourish and I've embossed them both with detail gold embossing powder. Paper is some I got last year and the charm is from my stash.
There are some beautiful cards by the DT on the challenge blog if you would like to check them out and get some inspiration.
Well I'm off out to finish the last of the Christmas shopping, well that's the plan anyway. Have a good day  whatever you are doing.
Bye for now
