Happy Mothers Day.

I would like to wish all you lovely ladies out there a Happy Mothers Day.
Hope you are getting pampered and spoilt and making the most of it.

Thought I would share the card I made for my Mum for Mothers Day.
I got the inspiration for this card from Joanne Wardle in the February edition of Craft Stamper. It's a hidden message card. Joanne made a beehive with a lovely bee on top, a Fairy sitting on a toadstool and a gorgeous wedding cake. It's basically a tent fold card so you can create whatever design you want. As it was for Mothers Day I decided to make a vase of flowers and here it is.

I made a basic tent fold card which I sealed at the top except for a gap in the middle for the message strip.  I made up a vase template which I used to cut out the shape of the card. I covered the vase with some gorgeous glittery First Edition paper from the Isabelle pad.  I stamped the flowers onto some shimmery rainbow paper using Stazon. The hidden message and sentiment were computer generated.
I really enjoyed making this card and I'm sure I will be making more.

Well enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Thank you for visiting.
Hugs,

An eventful week.

Hello dear friends

Well we've had a bit of an eventful week, trying to get things sorted. A car problem (nothing major just inconvenient). Wheelchair problems after John's carers (not our usual efficient ones) managed to break the power controller which meant it had to go away to be welded.  So poor John had to soldier on in his manual chair which isn't easy for him to push and I kept forgetting to push him.  John does like to be as independant as he can so it has been very frustrating for him. Anyway he got it back this morning so is back in action. It happened on Thursday and he had an appointment with the MS specialist to have botox injections so he had to go in the old push along. No he's not vain it was to relax the muscles in his legs. Unfortunately there wasn't any left over for me to help get rid of my crows feet.
Anyway I did manage to get a little card done and so here it is.

Recipe:-   Paper  -  Crate Paper Portrait Collection from Funky Farm Scrapbook Farm
Stamp -   Freebie Craft Stamper February  2012 issue
Die      -   Cheery Lyn designs Sweetheart frame from Pink Frog Crafts & Cards
Sentiment computer generated and cut with spellbinder die.

The Sweetheart frame is very pretty but I did have a bit of trouble getting it to cut and was ready to throw it through the window. Anyway I contacted Gwen at Pink Frog and she made some suggestions for what to do and eventually by putting the die through the machine twice, turning it around in between, it did cut through. I haven't tried it again since so I just hope it cuts the next time.  This die was not cheap so I think I'll stick to Spellbinders in future.
I haven't added any depth to this card because it's going to be posted later in the month and I'm sick of paying for large letter stamps.

Well thank you so much for stopping by again.
Hugs,

Hi there bloggers, Hope you've had a good weekend despite the miserable weather (well here in the west Midlands  anyway).

I went to the craft show at Malvern Showgound on Friday.  It was a most enjoyable day and I "managed" to find some nice bits and pieces to bring back.

So here is a card I made using a cute little stamp I picked up from the Stampasaurus stand.

I coloured the image with copics and added a touch of diamond stickles here and there.

The top nestie frame stands proud of the image and you can press it flat to go in an envelope.

Well that's it from me for now as Dancing on Ice has just come on.

It's so nice of you  to stop by.
Hugs,
Pat xx
