I've got the bug!

Tuesday Taggers challenge

Bugs

Hi there, sorry I've not been about much of late, life & the NEC getting in the way again.

Well today being Tuesday it's time for the
Tuesday Taggers challenge. This week the theme has been chosen by moi and it's Bugs. Now from what I can gather there have been a lot of bugs about this week but we only want the crafting variety. The DT have done themselves proud again this week so please pop over and check out their fabulous creations. Hopefully they will inspire you enough to join in the challenge this week and if that's not enough I'm sure the fabulous prize up for grabs from the Craft Barn will do the trick.

Here's my creation. I cut the card shape and layers using a nestie die and used a cute little stamp that's been lying around in my box for quite a while. I water coloured the image and the edge of the nestie with Marvy Le Plume pens. The Nestie's and the MLP pens are available from the Craft Barn.

My copy of Craft Stamper popped through the letterbox today and congratulations are in order. Our very own super talented Tagger teamie Michelle has won the ATC prize and the extremely talented Debbie Dolphin has her fantastic easel card as the main feature on the front cover. So congratulations to you both , so very well deserved.

Looking forward to checking out all your creations.

More Flower Fairies

Thought I would just show you a couple more of the cards I made for the launch of Crafters Companion's Flower Fairies in the Garden. Just to remind you that the POTD launches at 9pm tonight on Ideal World (Sky 644, Freeview 22, Virgin 747, Freesat 812.)

This is an easel card which I created by making a template of an enlarged nestie label. I had an email from Chris for a template of this card, so when I can find the time I may do a tutorial. The image is a pyrimage of Candytuft and the backing paper is from the design Sets of the CD rom.

For this card I used Design paper and border from the CD and the image is stamped. The stamps in this collection are smaller than the originals and fit perfectly onto any size and shape of card.

Hope you enjoy the show, I'm sure you will. I'll get back soon with some more samples.

Alter something

Tuesday Taggers challenge
Alter something

The very talented and lovely Lynn has chosen the theme for this weeks challenge which is to alter something. So let your imagination go mad and let's see what you clever lot can come up with this week. I'm sure many of you are like me and stash things away because we just know they are gonna come in useful one day. Like this McFlurry carton for instance.

I painted it with some pearly acrylic paints and added some lace from stash around the bottom. The two pale yellow flowers are cut from some K&Co papers, just a couple of nestie circles snipped into. The other flowers were cut from some pearl rainbow paper using my slice. The dragonfly and butterfly are peeloffs stuck onto the rainbow paper and suspended on acetate. The "smile" was cut on the slice.
Please pop over to the TT challenge blog to check out the fantastic creations that my fellow teamies have come up with. I do hope you'll decide to play along with us this week and can't wait to see what you come up with.
Well catch you later,
Love, Pat xx

Masquerade

Tuesday Taggers Challenge
Jesters /Masquerade Ball

Hi there, hope things are good for you today.
Can't believe it's Tuesday again , where do the days go? So it's time for another challenge over at Tuesday Taggers. This week the challenge has been set by the very talented teamie Avril and we want you to include a connection to Jesters / Masquerade Ball in your project. If you should need any inspiration the DT have come up with some fantastic examples again this week so please pop over and check them out. I'm sure you will decide to join us this week and I look forward to seeing your take on the challenge. Have fun.

As I hadn't got any suitable stamps for this challenge I decided to use another of Elizabeth O Dulemba's fabulous designs to create a mask. I coloured it using Twinkling H2Os and added glitter for the jewels. Only wish the shimmer and sparkle showed up on the photo. I'm sure this one will end up in Jessica's dance costume box.

That's it from me for the moment, see you soon,

Love, Pat xx

I'm even more excited!

Hi there dear friends hope you are having a good day. Thought I would just share the card I made for my Mum for Mothers Day. I must admit I did leave it until the last minute but although it was a quickie I am quite pleased with the end result. I used some Laura Ashley papers for the backing and the flower and coloured the beads with copics. I must say the beads look a bit dodgy on the photo but they look perfectly alright in reality.

Now then you are wondering why I'm excited yet again. Well I got my Cliff concert tickets in the post this morning so I was jumping for joy. Wasn't sure if I'd managed to get any as I had made a postal application and just had to wait and see. I've got to wait until October but it's good to have something to look forward to.
Hope you all have a great Mothers Day and that you get spoilt rotten. We are going to my sons for the day only hope he doesn't get us doing more DIY, only joking he wouldn't do that, or would he?
Bye for now,
Love, Pat xx

I'm so excited!

Hi there bloggers, hope your day is good.

Well I had a lovely suprise when I checked my email and blog comments, the very talented Elizabeth O Dulemba has asked if she can feature my St Patricks day card, using her Leprechaun image, on her Tuesday Colouring Page Alert (e-newsletter). Of course I didn't have to think twice to give her the go ahead.

Elizabeth is a very talented author and illustrator and as you probably know I use Elizabeth's fantastic images quite a lot. If you are ever stuck for an image you are sure to find one to fit the bill on her colouring pages.

Sorry no card to post today as I'm a bit bogged down doing a commission. Suppose I'd better go and stuck into it. Apologies also if I haven't visited for a while but I really will try and catch up soon.
Hope the rest of your day is good.
Hugs,
Pat xx

St Patrick's Day with Tuesday Taggers

Hi all, sorry I'm a little bit late, again! This week the theme for the Tuesday Taggers challenge is St. Patricks day chosen by our fabulous teamie Teri. As usual the choice of project is entirely up to you, whatever takes your fancy.

Here's the card I came up with.

The image is a freebie from Elizabeth O Dulemba coloured with copics. I think my shamrock is four leaf clover but hey it's good luck anyway.

Now then drum roll.................. and the winner of last weeks swirls and curls challenge and recipient of the absolutely fantastic prize from the very generous Jean & Malcolm of Crafty Individuals is No. 42 JanR. Well done Jan just know you are going to have a great time using this fabulous pack of goodies. We are all so envious and I don't know how I've managed to keep my little mits off it. Thank you all for entering into the fun and we look forward to seeing your creations again this week.

Bye for now

Fantastic prize!

Hi my dear friends, hope you are having a good day and enjoying some lovely sunshine as we are here in the West Midlands of England.
Thought I would just stop by and show you the fantastic prize on offer by the fantastic Crafty Individuals who are sponsoring the Tuesday Taggers challenge this week. To be honest I'm really not going to want to part with it and wish I could take part in the challenge myself.
The goodies included are 2 miniature image pads, 1 Background paper pad and it's just gorgeous, 3 stamp plates and two packs of mounts.
Just to remind you the challenge this week is nice and easy really, all you have to do is include swirls and curls in your project and post a link to Craft Individuals. Simple isn't it, so good luck everyone.

Swirls & Curls

Tuesday Taggers challenge

Swirls & Curls

Good morning my dear friends. I'm hoping today is going to be bright and sunny as it was yesterday. A bit of sunshine works wonderfully to pick up your spirits, well it does mine.

Today being Tuesday it's time for another Tuesday Taggers challenge. The theme this week, which was chosen by myself, is swirls & curls. I decided to use Crafty Individuals swirl stamps CI-235 and I am delighted to tell you that the fantastic Crafty Individuals are our sponsors for the challenge this week. To be in with a chance of winning please put a link to them in your post and a winner will be chosen at random. Why not pop over to the CI website to check out their fantastic products.

I decided to make a circular easel card this week after being inspired by Debbie Dolphin's fabulous creations.

The paper has been created by using distress inks (worn lipstick, dusty concored & peeled paint) sprayed with water and then misted with Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist. I stamped the CI-235 swirl stamp onto the paper using the dusty concord ink.

The little girl image is from one of CI miniature pads People & Places inside a frame cut using my pink slice.

The curls are circles of the paper cut around like orange peel.

Now it's your turn. Please join in with the fun this week and if you need any inspiration pop over to the TT challenge blog to check out the fantastic creations the DT have come up with. I'm looking forward to seeing your projects.

Thank you so much for visiting today and please leave me a comment so I know you've been and then I can come and visit you.

Have a good day,

Hugs, Pat xx
