Wendy's sketch

I've made this card wallet for Wendy's sketch challenge on the Crafters Companion forum.
This is the first one I've taken part in and enjoyed it very much. Thank you Wendy for a great sketch.

The image is a Sarah Kay stamp layered onto a computer generated oval shape, and the backing paper is from Crafters companion luxury envelope paper pack. The fancy border was made using an Xcut border system on silver Mirri board. Ribbon from stash

This is the inside of the wallet.

Thanks for looking and do come back again soon.

Another card from Vintage Times

Another I made from the Vintage CD. I printed onto vellum which gives a lovely delicate image.
This is a simple card to make but is still quite effective, which proves just how easy it is to make cards using these CD'
These cards were completed a couple of weeks ago but haven't any to post from todays session.
I'm going to try and get a card done using Wendy's sketch by tomorrow and also another card for Colour Create challenge. Take a look tomorrow to see what I've come up with!
Here's a link to some cards I made using the CC Occasions CD why not check them out

"Vintage Times cards"

Here are a seletion of cards I made for todays show on C&C using Crafters Companion Vintage Times CD's. Printed the lady images onto vellum. The inside of the card has been lined with silver mirri board and a printed insert.
This one is a book card and each page has a different image printed from the cd in a sepia colour using the colouriser. There are 6 pages so I decided it would be too much to post them all on here.

This is a slider card which when pulled down reveals 3 images and a greeting.

Thanks for visiting me today, and hopefully I'll see you tomorrow. Bye for now

Crafting with the Grandkids

Well had the Grandchildren over today so now I'm left with a craft room that looks like a bombs hit. Had to make a robot with Elliot first of all out of cardboard boxes Pringle tubes and kitchen paper rolls. Then it was Jessica's turn and she decided she wanted to created some "different" shaped cards (wonder where she got that from?) without any help from me. So I left her to it and prayed that my best stash was still there when I got back in there. Well she really enjoyed herself so it was worth the mess and proves that she has the makings of a true crafter. She asked me to put them on my blog so here goes.

This one is two triangular shaped cards stuck together, with a bit of tweeking I think this could work. Watch this space.

I've not used a cute image on this card, thought I'd try something different. The papers are basic grey and the image is a clear stamp which if my memory serves me correct (bare in mind memory not too good!) is from Clevercut. The flowers I got from Joanna Sheen's, the ribbon from Glitterpot, sentiment computer generated and embellishments from stash

Colour Create challenge 3

Here is my creation for this weeks Colour Create challenge. I used moveable decoupage by Mary Rahder which I got from Crafters Companion some time ago. Thought the beach hut idea would suit the cheeky (excuse the pun) images. Thanks for checking me out. xx

My Award from Yvonne

I am really delighted to have received this award from Yvonne who is the life and soul of the party over at the Crafters Companion forum. Not only does she have a great sence of humour and very quick wit, she is also a very talented card maker. Yvonne does some beautiful cards using the Gliiter Girls boards. Thank you Yvonne for this award and for taking the time to visit my blog and leave your much appreciated comments.

I am going to pass this award on to friends I have made while attempting to get this blog up and running. I want to say a big Thank You for all your support.

Firstly I will give this award to Jacqui a fellow member of Crafters Companion design team and an absolutely outstanding cardmaker. Jacqui is a DT member for several challenges and is certainly an inspiration to everyone who visits her blog. Not only is Jacqui a great crafter but she is also a lovely lady and I am so pleased to be able to give her this award.

Next I shall pass the award to Anna who became a follower of my blog. I don't know too much about Anna but I look forward to getting to know her when I visit her blog. Thank you Anna for following my blog.

Wendy I would like to pass this award to you but feel sure that you have already received it. Wendy is very creative and I love to visit her blog to catch up on all her lovely creations. Thank you so much for your support Wendy it means a lot to me.

Last but by no means least to give this award to Anne who is such a clever lady. You can be sure if you need an answer to a computer or crafting problem she will have it. Not only that she makes gorgeous cards. I was so pleased to catch up with Anne at CC's Craftaganza.

Colour Create challenge 2

Hi everyone, hope you're having a good day. I've quickly made up a couple of cards for this Colour Create challenge. Not sure that they really fit the brief that well (to use peach and aqua and produce your own flowers) apart from the colour but it was a spur of the moment session between shopping and preparing for tonights dinner. There are two because I'd got lots of stuff out so thought I'd make use of it.

I used an image from Crafters Companion Vintage Life CD just because it was lying about in my craft room and the colours just happened to fit the brief. I used a small punch for the flowers (pathetic attempt at incorporating flowers!) and the ribbon is from stash.

For this one I layered some Dovecraft Fantasy paper onto gold, peach and aqua card. I cut flowers using the Cuttlebug and small daisy punch. Used Sakura stardust pen to highlight on flowers but this is not visible on the photo. The dragonfly is a peeloff stuck onto acetate and the ribbon is from stash.

Well bye for now, might catch you later.

One I made today.

Hi Everyone, hope things are OK where you are. We had snow again overnight but it's not too bad now although still very cold.

We had a bit of a drama here yesterday afternoon. Hubby came over poorly all of a sudden and I had to get the paramedics out. Anyway the upshot is they believe he may have had a mini stoke so they gave him some pills and sent him home but are refering him to a specialist consultant.. The thing is by the time he reached hospital he was back to his normal self which apparently is what happens with a mini stroke. Anyway he's fine now.

To be honest something strange came over me today I had a good sort out of the wardrobes! It's amazing what you come across that you'd forgotten about. Anyway I've got three bin bags full ready for the charity shops but the wardrobes still look just as full. Why is that?

Well I've just finished of this little number hope you like it.

The basic card I made from Bazzill Bling. The stamped image is one I got from C&C quite a while ago when Jayne Nestorenko was demonstrating it. I thought I would give it an airing. The black paper is from the Fantasy pack by Dovecraft and the ivory paper is Papermania. I've addded little jewels and butterly from stash as is the purple spotted ribbon. Oh nearly forgot the sentiment is a clear one I bought from, Gail at Circa design and that was quite a while ago too. Well suppose I had better go and sort something out for dinner.

Bye, Hugs

Colour Create Challenge- Pink Green Brown

High, well here is my first challenge attempt and it's also the first challenge for the fabulous Colour Create team. Pop over and check it out as there is some great candy up for grabs.

I've been wanting to have a go at designing one of these butterfly cards, if you can call it a card, for some time. As the challenge had a butterfly theme to it I thought I would have a bash at it. I came across this design on one of the crafting sites quite some time ago and unfortunately I can't remember which site or the name of the designer. If anyone knows who it is please let me know so I can give them the credit

The base of the card is a bazzill scalloped circle scored into 8 sections and cut down one line. I used panels of brown and beige patterned paper on alternate panels and a green patterned paper on the others. Both papers from the Dovecraft range. I've glittered around the scalloped edges of the paper with pink ultrafine peewee glitters. I've punched some flowers and added some little flower stickers from stash. The beaded wire attenae and ribbon from stash.

Hi, Just popped on to add this card I put together earlier today. Hope you like it, I really enjoyed creating it.

The patterned paper is Papermania the plain pearlescent is CC paper. Image has been coloured using H2O's and the flowers are stamped (CC) onto papers from the Cute Companions CD's by CC and cut out. Ribbons and embellishments from stash. Thanks for looking!
