Super Sunday

I'm a very excited girl tonight as I'm off to my fantastic friend Jayne Nestorenko's workshop tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to meeting the lovely crafters and can't wait to see what Jayne has in store for us.  I'm sure I'll have some lovely creations to share with you on Monday.

I got the latest copy of Craft Stamper in the post today  and as always there are some really inspirational projects in there.  My subscription is up for renewal this month so I was pleased to see the offer of Crafty Individuals goodies when you subscribe for a year.  I hung on to renew in the hope something good would come up  and it certainly did, I love CI products.

Well suppose I had better go and get my bits and bobs ready for an early start in the morning.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Hugs, Pat xx

Alter Something to make a present.

It's Tuesday so time for another challenge with the Try it on Tuesday crew.
This week is Altered Art week and the theme is to create a present.
The Craft Barn are sponsoring the challenge again this week so there is a £15 voucher up for grabs. Don't forget to give them a mention in your post if you take part in the challenge then we can enter you into the random draw.
I decided to alter a little wooden box that I picked up in a charity shop while I was away last week.

I coloured the box with cream emulsion then stamped using a crackle background stamp and purple Versamark and added shading with DI. I edged the bottom of the box and lid with Tim Holtz tissue tape (one of my Glitter Pot purchases last week)  I coloured the flower with Silkies and edged it with a gold Pen Touch. I also used the Pen Touch around the edge of the lid and to write the sentiment.

Why not pay a visit to the Try it on Tuesday blog and check out the fantastic creations the Design Team have come up with to give you inspiration.

Thank you so much for paying me a visit today
Hugs

Oh I do love to be beside the seaside.

Hi bloggers.
We are back from our holiday is West Sussex, refreshed and raring to go.
The weather wasn't too kind to us but we made the best of it and had a really enjoyable week.
I managed to fit in a visit to the Glitter Pot again which was a real treat and I came back with some lovely goodies.  I had vowed before we went not to buy anymore stamps until I had got around to using all the others that I've bought and never inked.  Well I didn't manage to stick to that and came back with a load more. Oh well you can never have enough stamps can you?
All good things have to come to an end so I'm off to sort out some more washing for the machine. Catch you later.

Steampunk

Hello Peeps

It's Tuesday again so Try it on Tuesday challenge day.  This week our talented DT member Ildiko has chosen the Steampunk theme and you can make anything you like.
I decided to go with a card and as I haven't any Steampunk stamps decided to use  Digi Stamps which I opened in Serif Craft Artist Professional ( I love this and so do all the family!).  I just used a background from one of the Digi kits and added the digi stamps from my photos. Here it is....

I coloured the focal image with copics and added Glossy Accents to the cogs and some of the detail, sadly it doesn't show on the photo.  The letters are cut from a newspaper.

Do please check out the TioT blog to see the fantastic designs that our talented DT members have created.

I've had to schedule this post so fingers crossed that it has worked.
Bye for now

Try it on Tuesday - Tag - The Birds & The Bees

I hope you all had a good weekend  and feel refreshed for the week.
I decided to give jam making a go, something I hadn't done since school, now that's a long time ago.  I made strawberry as there are so many about and it is delicious.  Especially good on the scones with clotted cream, yum yum.  Might try some plum or damson next time. Looks like I've got the bug now but don't think it's gonna be too good for the waistline.
Anyway
it's TAG week for the Try it on Tuesday Challenge and the theme, chosen by our super talented Janet is THE BIRDS & THE BEES.

I used a stamp ( Stampavie - Rachelle Anne Miller) that I got in a RAK from my lovely friend Jacqui (Cats Whiskers) absolutely ages ago. Those little birdies are so cute. I cut and layered it using nesties. Actually the outer one was cut by hand after drawing around the outer edge of the one I used for the middle layer. The blue paper is some I made up a while ago and found in my bit box. I used DI's to colour it if my memory serves me correct. The bees are a seperate little stamp.

The rest of the DT have created some great tags to share with you so please visit the TioT challenge blog to check them out and maybe you would like to click on their names to check out their blogs.

Thank you so much for visiting me today and for leaving comments which are so greatly appreciated.

A quick post?

A quickie from me today to share this card.
It  was made for my BIL's birthday and the inspiration came from the Make MY Monday challenge which for this month is Vintage and this week Brown Cream and Pink or Blue.

You would not believe the problems I have had trying to load this photo. I don't think I can blame blogger, it's something strange happening on my computer.  I started this post mid afternoon and it's taken me, on and off until now 7.30pm. grrrrrrrrrrrr!  I could find the file in my pictures but when I clicked browse to upload it, it was nowhere to be found. I tried going through flikr but exactly the same happened. Well I wont be beaten so in the end after re uploading it from my camera to no avail I moved it into another folder and voila. If any clever clog out there knows what could have happened I'd love to find out.
Anyway back to the card. embossed some brown coredinations on the Calibur. Stamped the card and cut it out of the box technique using my nesties.
Well that's it from me, I'm all computered out now.
Thanks for visiting

Flower Power!

Well I chose the theme for the challenge over at Try it on Tuesday this week. So I decided on FLOWER POWER for our CARD challenge.
Shouldn't be too difficult achieve I think with all the flower variations out there. Maybe shabby chic, vintage, elegant whatever you would like. I decided to go a bit funky.

I decided to use the flower mask again, well it was sitting looking at me on the desk.  I used various DI's to colour it.  The Campa is a Little Claire stamp water coloured.

Please take a look over at the challenge blog to see the wonderful DT cards and  I do hope you will decide to join us for the challenge this week.
Well that's about it from me for the moment.  I'm still nursing a bad back which is making life a bit difficult. I've got an appointment through to be assessed but it's not until 26th and I'm hoping it's feeling better by then. Well I really do hope so.
Have a good day

Murray's out

I've spent a very lazy afternoon watching the tennis (shame Murray lost) and nursing a bad back. Managed to get a cancelled appointment at the docs and he believes I have a disc problem and is getting me a physio appointment.
Anyway enough of my problems.  I managed to get a card done this morning for the Make My Monday challenge. It's a sketch this week but still with the floral theme.

I created the flowery background by using a mask and Dusty Concord DI on pink pearl card.  The image is an Elizabeth Bell that I had forgotten I had coloured with DIs.

I've nothing much planned for the weekend but have got the Barbara Gray shows on C & C on Sunday to look forward to.
Hope you have a good weekend
Hugs,
Pat xx
