Free Digi Image from Whiff of Joy

Hi there, well what a miserable start to the Bank Holiday weekend. I have something to share with you that might just cheer you up. I've just been over to Bev's fantastic blog and she has news of a free Spider Henry digi download that Katharina of Whiff of Joy is kindly offering us. He is so cute, you'll just love him. So why not pop over to Katherina's blog to check him out and also see what the fabulous DT have created using the image.
I've got a birthday card to make for my Grandson Elliot's birthday in a couple of weeks so this will be perfect and I know he will love it.

I was also cheered up today when my copy of Craft Stamper popped through the letterbox. I get so excited when it arrives and can't wait to check out all the fantastic creation. I had a lovely suprise today when I saw that our fabulous TT teamie Michelle had an absolutely stunning project in there. Well done Michelle. If you haven't already, please check out Michelle's blog as she is a brilliant and very inspirational crafter.

Well let's hope this wet and dreary weather takes a turn for the better so that everyone can enjoy their well earned break.

Well my tummies runbling so I think it's time for some lunch.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love, Pat xx

It's a man's world

Tuesday Taggers Challenge
Create something for the man in your life

This weeks theme which has been chosen by Bee. Her OH has a birthday this week and with Fathers day not far away she thought why not have one for the men in your life.

As usual anything you choose to make is brilliant as long as its for a Man!

The Craft Barn have been kind enough to sponsor the challenge this week donating a £15 voucher to spend in their online store.

I decided to make a card with my nephew in mind and I know he would love to have time to relax in the garden, in this gorgeous weather, on his birthday.  So what better image to use than the gorgeous and extemely popular Popcorn the Bear.  I've used the CD to create the paper and stamped the image and coloured it with copics. They are both from the Mens set and are available from Crafters Companion.

Our design team have come up with the goods as usual and some fab ideas to start you thinking of your own project so why not pop over to the TT challenge blog to check them out and hopefully get inspired to join in with us this week.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I look forward to checking out your creations.

Love,
Pat xx

What a scorcher!

Hi, well what a gorgeous Sunday, long may it continue. I managed to get some gardening done this morning before it got too hot and then enjoyed the rest of the day just tatting about. No crafting today, well I did venture into the craft room and OK I did stick a few bits and pieces on a card, well it's difficult not to.

Right then I've decided to join in the Colour Create challenge again this week. I love the cool colour combo of Soft Green and Light Aqua and the DT creations certainly are Cool!
Here's my card.

The image is by Elizabeth Bell for SCACD, I think it's Emma, which I bought from Crafters Companion. It's coloured using my Whisper pens. The papers are just some I had in my drawer, the swirl in the corner is cut using my slice, which I also bought from Crafters Companion, and the other bits and bobs are from my stash.  Oh yes roses are Wild Orchid sprayed with glimmer mist and stickled, although it doesn't show on the pic.

Well that's it from me tonight, just hope the gorgeous weather continues tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Tuesday Taggers

Slice of Cake -
 Chocolate and Cream
Tag
Firstly thank you everyone who joined in with our last challenge and stepped out of your comfort zone.  Hope you all enjoyed doing something new and perhaps finding a technique that you will use again and again.

Onto this week.  Well it's our lst Birthday and we would like to thank everyone who has made the TT challenge a success over the last twelve months.  You rock! By way of celebration we'd like to give you all a slice of cake.  I know your thinking that could be a bit messy sending cake in the post but what we have in mind is to share a digi image created by our fab teamie Teri (Delicious Doodles).  So pop over to the TT challenge blog to snag the image and also find out the finer details of the challenge.  Basically we want you to use the slice of cake image to create a chocolate and cream cake tag which we can swap.

Here is my tag.
Chocolate and cream card put through the cuttlebug with a Happy Birthday folder.  The slice of cake has been coloured with copics.  I used a stencil for the number 1 using a brown copic for the outline and drew freehand checks.  The ribbon is from stash.

So please help us to celebrate this week and join in our challenge.
Thanks again folks.
Hugs, Pat xx

P.S decided to enter this tag in the Alphabet Challenge which is C for chocolate. Thanks Zoe for the link.
Also entered Charisma Cardz challenge sweet treats. Thanks Ildiko & Teri for the link

I'm stuffed!

Hi there, hope you have had a good weekend.  We've just got back from having Sunday Lunch out as a treat for my Mums birthday which is on Thursday.  It was a gorgeous carvery and of course I just had to have a bit of everything, well you do don't you.  Now we are all feeling very sleepy.
While I'm here I thought I would share another card from the new Popcorn release from Crafters Companion.  If you haven't managed to catch one of the shows on Create & Craft and Ideal World well Leann will be live again tomorrow morning at 8am on C&C.  You can also find more details on Crafters Companion's own site and see the DT cards in the gallery.

I have put a Popcorn the Bear Kids slide on my other blog where I put my Crafters Companion cards.

Thanks for visiting.

Popcorn Kids- Launching today

Hi there everyone. Thought you might like to see some more of the cards I made for the launch of Crafters Companion's Popcorn Kids range of CD & stamps.  This is a fabulous collection, if you are not into stamping there is plenty on the CD to keep you busy but if like me you love stamping then you are in for a real treat. Combine the two, CD and stamps and you have a wealth of creativity at your fingertips. These Popcorn stamps are smaller than the previous ones so lend themselves to the 6x6 cards that are so popular. They also work so well with the nestability diecuts.
The easel card at the top of this post is made using a old CD.  To this I've added nestie circles and used the Happy Birthday stamp from the set and the so cute Biscuit the dog coloured with Whispers.

For the card below I used a scalloped circle of Bazill card folded in  half.  I created the lattice using an MS wide border punch.  For the decoupaged image I printed off  4 of the image sheets and created the layering myself.  I love creating decoupage from scratch, to me it's half the fun decided just what to cut away. I varnished the strawberries, added pearl dimensional paint dots to the edge and made the bow from my ribbon stash.

Another stepper card made from pearl card and printed with a design from the CD.  All the images and sentiments are stamped and coloured with Whispers.

Better go and set the recorder for the launch show at 11am although I will be watching it live.  Hope you enjoy the show. See previous post for show times on Create and Craft & Ideal World.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a good day and an even better weekend.

Hugs, Pat xx

The launch of the range will be tomorrow at 11am as Pick of the Week on Ideal World & Create and Craft.

Sara will be showcasing the new Popcorn range live at 11am tomorrow - Friday 14th May - on Create and Craft (Sky 671, Freeview 36)
There will also be live shows with Leann on
Sunday 16th at 9am on Create and Craft and 2pm on Ideal World and
Monday 17th at 8am on Create and Craft.
Sara will round off the week with a live show on
Wednesday 19th at 9am on Create and Craft.
These shows will also be repeated throughout the week.

Now for your titillation here are a couple of sneak peaks of the cards I created for the shows.

This first one is a stepper card made from pearl card put through the printer. The image is biscuit the dog, stamped and coloured with whisper watercolour pens. The little blocks and sentiments are all from the stamp sets.

This one is a gorgeous stamped image coloured again with whispers and cut out using a nestie. The top half of the front of the card has been cut away leaving the the image standing proud and lined up with the nestie & sentiment on the inside.

I must say this collection has been an absolute joy to work with. The stamps are smaller than the previous sets and are just perfect for using with your nestability dies.

Hope you get to see the shows as you will be in for a real treat.
I'll show you some more creations tomorrow, or you could check out my other blog here
Take care,
Love, Pat xx

Tuesday Taggers - Out of your comfort zone

Hi there bloggers.  Well it's time for another challenge from Tuesday Taggers and this week the theme has been set by our fantastic teamie Sally and she wants you to create out of your comfort zone.  So now's your chance to try something new or perhaps just try a different style, the possibilities are endless.  Maybe you've always fancied trying quilling,  parchment craft or perhaps decoupage is new for you. If your style is cute perhaps you might like a bit of distressing or maybe you might like to have a go at scapbooking or journalling.  Just a few suggestions, I'm sure you'll think of something you'd like to try out.
Well after seeing her had the NEC and on C&C I invested in Barbara Grays, DVD's and a few stamps.  So I decided it was time to give creating reflections using a brayer a go.  Here is my very first attempt.  I know there is room for improvement and I'm definately not in Barbara's league but it's not bad for a first time or is it?  Please let me know what you think.

Looking forward to checking out your creations and have fun.
Love,
Pat xx

Great colours

Hi there hope you all had a good weekend.  I haven't taken part in many challenges, well hardly any, lately as I've been kept busy.  Anyway I always enjoy taking part in the Colour Create challenge when I can so here is the creation I have made for the latest which is to use KHAKI, AQUA, BROWN AND CREAM and I love this colour combo.
I have used a couple of basic grey papers, an odd piece of bazill bling edged with MS punch and the image is a Sarah Kay from Stampavie coloured with distress inks and layered. The ribbon is from my stash.

The Colour Create DT as usual have come up with  some fantastic designs which are sure to give you inspiration so why not pop over and check them out. There is a great set of rubber stamps up for grabs too and they also have a DT call.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I really do appreciate it and if you'd like to leave me a comment that would be great.
Love,
Pat xx

What a load of rubbish!

Tuesday Taggers Challenge
Recyling

Hi there, hope you all had a good Bank Holiday, pity the weather wasn't better.
Well this week at Tuesday Taggers our fab teamie Ildiko set the theme of Recycling. So get out all the stuff you've stashed away just knowing it is going to come in useful one day.  That day is here!!
Please pop over to the Taggers blog to check out the fabulous creations that my fellow teamies have come up with.
Well here is mine.
Well I was just about to throw out this faulty DVD (I was supposed to record Lost for my son and it didn't work- sorry Jonathan!) when I thought I can use that for this weeks challenge.  So I decided on the oh so popular easel card.  I cut the flowers out of newspaper using my nestie Big Scalloped Circles  LG and then coloured each layer using distress inks Fired Brick and Mustard Seed. I cut the centre layer from silver mirri and coloured with copics  then added a button from my button box. The sentiment was also cut from the newspaper (Wolverhampton Express & Star) and layered onto a bit of silver paper from a margarine tub and a piece of card from an old tag.  The base of the card is coloured with the DI too.
Well there you have it, now lets see what you can find lying around. Can't wait to check them out.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Love Pat xx
