One I made earlier.

Hi everyone, what a miserable day, rain, rain and more rain. Never mind I'm off out with the girls tonight so I've something to look forward to, nice meal, drink and a good old natter, lovely.
This is a card I started yesterday and finished off this morning. The papers are an odd strip of Basic grey but can't remember which set, a piece of paper coloured with pearl paints and the doily I got when I went to NEC. The image is a Penny Black, cinnamon, watercoloured. The ribbon flower and brads are from stash. You might notice a little crease at the bottom corner as I dropped it after I'd finished it, how annoying.

Blog Candy ending today

Over at Toodles & Binks there's candy but it ends today so be quick

Jessica's creations

Here are some cards my Granddaughter Jessica made yesterday when she came to visit after school. She was in a real crafting mood and would have made more if her daddy hadn't turned up to collect her. She loves checking out the blogs and would really love one of her own but in the mean time she asked me to put her cards on here. I really will have to get around to helping her sort a blog out, if I can ever find the time.

The first one was made using the new Cute Summer Stories stamps by Jayne Nestorenko and Crafters Companion. She has made this to give to Jayne when we see her on Sunday as she will be demonstrating at Mountain Ash Crafts which is located at the craft village at Halfpenny Green, Bobbington, Shropshire.
The others are using some odd bits of decoupage sheets I had in a folder, a couple are Rock Hard Fairies and I'm not sure about the other one.
Thank you for visiting and do come back soon.
Love from Pat & Jessica xx

Just Magnolia Challenge - Pink & Green

This is my entry to the Just Magnolia
challenge which requires us to use Pink & Green and of cause a gorgeous magnolia stamp
The base card is a deep green. The paper is from Cratwork Cards as is the embossed frame, sentiment and flowers, they came in a pack. I've coloured the embossing with a green inkpad. The gorgeous Tilda with lamb has been watercoloured. I know her top and also the brad and gem look bit yellow but they are infact pale green just doesn't show up well on photo.

An award from Linda

Thank you so much Linda for giving me this award, I feel really proud to have received it. If you haven't visited Linda yet I suggest you do 'cause she is a lovely lady with a brilliant blog. I'd also like to thank you for visiting me on a regular basis Linda and leaving your kind comments.
I have already received this award and passed it on but I will display it again. Thank You

Cololur Create challenge Orange,Green,Brown

This is my entry this week for the Colour Create challenge. It's such a coincidence that I made this card a couple of days ago and it fits the bill, well just about.
I used some wrapping paper left over from my hubbies birthday present and the ribbon is from his birthday cake (waste not want not is my motto). The image is of course a penny black. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the flower from stash.
I'd love to hear what you think of it

Cute Summer Friends Collection by Jayne Nestorenko & Crafters Companion

Decided to make a slideshow of the card samples I made for the launch of this new collection by Jayne & Sara. It will launch on Create & Craft and Ideal World Saturday Evening at 9pm and will be pick of the day on Sunday with several shows during the day. I have had a great time working with these stamps and cd's and just know you will love them.

Passing the award to.......

Well I'm back to pass on the lovely award I got from Yvonne. Now this is a job I hate because I find it so difficult to decide who to pass it on to. So I've decided because I hate leaving people out that I will pass it on to everyone who follows my blog and leaves me kind comments. So ladies, oh sorry & men if any follow my blog (don't think so) please take the award and display it with pride because I think you are all fantastic and deserve it and thank you for visiting my blog.
Big hugs, Pat xx

Not another candy post!

No this is not another candy post thought I'd better break the chain and post a card. I've used the Laura Ashley decoupage again on this one. The base card is from Crafters Companion. The plain backing paper is out of the LA pack. The ribbon is from stash, the sentiment from Craftwork cards and the corner is punched using an Xcut corner/border stamp. This card was very easy to make as the decoupage is diecut.

Colour Create challenge.

High everyone just popped on to post my creation for this weeks Colour Create challenge. The colours to work with are black, pink & white with the option to include polka dots

Well for this one I used some black card as the base and the Dp is Dovecraft Fairy. The pink dotty paper, fairy decoupage, wording and flowers are all from a folder where I keep bits that I haven't got around to using. I'm really gonna try and incorporate more of these bits & bobs on my cards. Mind you it'll be a never ending task, cause I'm sure that as fast as I use some I'll be adding some.
I said at the beginning of this post that I'd just popped on but that was about 6 hours ago and I've finally got it done. Too many comings and goings here today but at last I've got peace and quiet.
Thanks for visiting me ,
Love. Pat xx

Burning the midnight oil

Well I'm feeling a little blurry eyed this morning. I felt the need to do a little crafty before going to bed and then when I finally got to bed I spent most of the time coughing. Never mind I've got a couple of cards to show for it so that's OK.

The cards are not my usual type of thing. I don't go much for diecuts and peeloffs as I always feel I've cheated if I haven't actually produced the main body of the card either by stamping or cutting, but heyho I did enjoy making these two quickies and they haven't turned out too bad.

I had a Laura Ashley Decoupage pack that had slipped into my basket at the Range a while ago, as they do. The pack includes diecut decoupage and some plain backing papers. I used some card from a Crafters Companion pack as the base card and scored it using the CC Ultimate Pro. I layered the decoupage onto a couple of Nesties made from some CC pearl card. I used the plain backing paper onto the back of the card and cut some borders using the Xcut border cutting system. I added ribbon and brad from stash & the sentiment from Craftwork cards(they are so usful). Actually having written this down I realise I did contribute a bit of effort into this.

This card is made using Daisy & Dandelion peeloff stickers that jumped into my basket the same time as the Laura Ashley. The base card is Bazzill bling (I do love this card). I made a nestie layer using satin silver card from another of CC's packs. I stuck one of the images onto some pearl card from my ever growing bit box and layered it onto the nestie. I added two peeloff ribbons from the pack to the side and another peeloff cake accent. The sentiment is yes you've got it a peel off from the pack. The brad i think is a Dovecraft and a couple of gems from stash.

I'm reasonably happy with the results and hope you like them
Have a good Sunday and let's hope the weather is kind to us 'cause I've got to cut the lawn, if I can find the energy.

We are Premier League

Sorry but I just had to announce that Wolves are now promoted to the Premier League, oh for those of you who don't follow it's Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Team. My son who is a season ticket holder is jumping for joy and will certainly be celebrating tonight, sore head tomorrow me thinks. He is delighted because the last time they got promoted he was on an expedition in the Amazon Rainforest and had to rely on his worldband radio and the jungle drums to find out.
It'll be party time in Wolverhampton tonight!
Anyway that said hope you all have a great weekend and hope you've got the lovely sunshine as we have here.

The stamped image is of course a Magnolia and it's been water coloured.
The base card is made from Bazzill bling
The circle paper is cut from a Papermania Designer cards pack that I bought cheap a while ago and although I wouldn't use them as cards thought they would be useful for matting.
The circle is cut from pearl card using the nesties
The flowers ares stamped (another bargain bin find) onto basic grey sugar paper & cut out.
Sentiment from Craftwork cards
Gems & fibres from stash

Thank you for visiting and I'd be delighted if you'd leave a comment that way I can visit you too.

Colour Create Challenge

This is my creation for this weeks Colour Create challenge. The theme this week is Chocolate/coffee/cream. I've really enjoyed this challenge as I love this colour combination.

The base card is Bazzill, the DP is from Papermania Creative Tones Antique Creams, the brown layer is a scrap of bazzill and the embossed layered was created using the cuttlebug textile folder. The stamped image is a Penny Black Cinnamon water coloured and the edges coloured with distress ink. The large flower is Flora Doodles which I got from Joanna Sheen and the small flower button brad pearls and ribbon are from stash.
Hopefully I'm back on track now and will have more time for blogging, then again who knows what will crop up tomorrow! Hope you all have a good weekend and the weather is kind.
Love, Pat xx

Crafting with Jessica

Hi Everyone, sorry I've not been around much lately but been busy with a commision and nursing a cold. Think the cold is my son's parting gift LOL. Anyway hopefully I can get back in the swing of things in blogland.
Had the grandchildren today and as usual Jessica headed for the craft room., and this is what she came up with.

The base card is out of a Crafters Companion pack, the heart and butterfly stamps are from the Crafters Companion Love stamp set, the peeloffs from my huge stash of peeloffs (I don't seem to use them these days) and the main stamped image is Felicity Sweetheart by Polycraft (thank you Lyndsey) coloured with Whisper pens. Jessica really has her own ideas and wont let meddling nanny put in her four pennies worth LOL!

I'm gonna try and catch up visiting your blogs tonight, see you there.

I'm back

Well I never did get back with that Colour Create challenge card did I? To say I've had a hectic few days is putting it mildly. Jonathan went off OK on Tuesday although he did have me sorting things out for him, as usual. Justine's move was somewhat more hectic with 11 years of clutter to deal with. Anyway it's done now and I've come to the conclusion that I'll see my time out here as I really don't think I could cope with moving. I thought I would be back crafting yesterday but boy was I wrong. Justine was getting ready for work and went into the conservatory to get her shoes and caught the ball of her foot on the carpet door bar cutting her foot quite badly. Now earlier in the morning she had dropped her mobile phone down the toilet and broken it and their landland wasn't connected so she couldn't phone for help. She had to hobble round to the neighbours dripping blood and she took her to the hospital where they glued it together. What a way to get to know your new neighbour! Are you sniggering? Well if you're not I certainly am LOL! I spent the rest of the day and this morning running her and the kids about because she can't drive for a few days.
Anyway I'm back now and raring to go, if nothing else goes wrong that is.
Well hope you all have a Happy Easter with plenty of yummy chocolate.

Love Pat xx

Wendy's sketch challenge 14

Hope you all had a good weekend. I managed to fit a bit of gardening in yesterday as it was such a nice day here. Must say I'm a fair weather gardener, the sun has to be shining to get me out there.

Well here is my card for Wendy's challenge this week. If you'd like to join in visit Wendy to see the sketch and have fun.

The bronze base card is made from some Crafters Companion card and the patterned paper is from CC Foral CD and is actually more yellow than it appears. The bunny image is a stamp I picked up in a bargain bin some time ago and I don't know who it's by. I coloured it using watercolour pens. The flowers are from stash.

I'll try to get back tomorrow with the Colour Create challenge creation if I can manage to fit it in. My son is moving into his first house tomorrow and my daughter is moving house on Wednesday so as you can imagine it's a bit hectic around here. I was round my daughters today helping her with some packing and I really don't envy her the move. Think I'll stay put where I am.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back soon.

Hugs, Pat xx
