90th Birthday card.

Good morning everyone, hope your day is going well.
Here is the card tht I mentioned yesterday. It's for my SIL Stuart's grandmother's birthday. She'll be celebrating with all her family and friends tomorrow and I'm sure she'll have a wonderful time.

I created the card base & covered with some DP I had lying about in one of my drawers. The numbers are stamped using Crafters Companion Cute Companions number stamps and embossed with silver detail embossing powder then glittered with pee wee glitter. The flowers are stamped using some of the CC Almond Flower Fairy stamps using Archival Sepia Ink then sprayed with Crafters Companion silver Spray & Sparkle. The gems & ribbon are from my stash.

Well better get off as we've got to go and pick up the tiles for the wet room. We've chosen the ones we want just hope we like them when they are on the wall. I hate chosing tiles as it's difficult to envisage the end result. Anyway it's a bit late to change my mind now so decision made.
Thanks for stopping by and your comments would be much appreciated.
Take care,
Love, Pat xx

Quick hello.

No card to post today although I have almost completed one today for a 90th birthday. Will post a pic tomorrow if I manage to get time.
Well the wet room alterations are well underway. Thought we had left the very dusty part behind and had cleared most of the mess away. How wrong was I? Today the door and frame had to be removed and because it wasn't square demolition derby started again. To be honest there seemed more dust today than there was when they busted up the floor. Anyway I got it cleared and mopped the kitchen floor but left the bucket in there and forgot about it. Upshot is John went into the kitchen without putting the light on and yes you've got it, knocked over the bucket. Water water everywhere, what a ****** mess. So the floor is well and truly clean now!

Must go as the battery on this laptop is low so I'd bettter plug it in. See you tomorrow.
Goodnight,
Love Pat xx

Puzzling!!

Jigsaws.
Hi there and thanks for stopping by. Our challenge this week at Tuesday Taggers is to use jigsaw piece or pieces. Our DT have come up with some fantastic creations so please pop over to check them out and join in the challenge with us this week. As usual what you create is entirely up to you as long as there is a jigsaw connection.
I "borrowed" a couple of jigsaw pieces from Elliot's (GS) Ben Ten puzzle which I drew around onto an image that I'd stamped on paper which I'd created using distress inks and pearl glimmer mist. I cut the pieces out and spotlighted them onto the same stamped image.

Looking forward to seeing what ideas you all come up with this week. Should be a very interesting challenge.
Oh and don 't forget you've still got time to apply for the DT places check the challenge blog for details.
Have a good day,
Hugs, Pat xx

Quick catchup.

Hi everyone, just a quick post to apologise for not being around the last few days. I'm busy with work behind the scenes as it were but I've even been struggling to get that done. I have been struggling big time this week with aching joints and back and everything has been a real struggle. Bit better today though so perhaps I'll be skipping about tomorrow!! Please don't think I'm looking for sympathy and windging, just wanted to explain my absence and apologise for being a bad blogger.
On a happier note we've had some good news that the new wet room for hubby John is going to be started on Monday. We'll be in a bit of a mess for a couple of weeks but it will be worth it in the end.
Well better get back to it,
Take care all,
Hugs, Pat xx

It's Tuesday! and DT call.

Use your Christmas Scraps

in a non Christmassy way.

Hi there, well another week has gone by, where does the time go, since the last Tuesday Taggers challenge.

This week the very talented and creative DT member Blackdragon has set the challenge for us to use up our Christmas leftovers. I'm sure you must have some bits and pieces left lying around. What about all those gorgeous pieces of wrapping paper that you just couldn't bear to throw away and the gorgeous bows and tags that you've kept because you just know you'll need them one day. Even a Christmas stamp that you haven't got around to packing a way for next year 'cause you love it.

I'm sure you'll come up with even more ideas. Don't forget as usual you decide what you would like to create, card, tag, atc, whatever you like.

I decided to use the stamp that appeared on so many of my Christmas cards last year and I stamped it onto a brayered background adding some blossom with watercolour pens. This was layered onto some paper from a Christmas pad covering the Christmas trees that are on it. The ribbon is a Christmas leftover with a lace overlay.

So please pop over to the Taggers challenge blog to check out what the other DT have created and then I'm sure you'll feel inspired and will join in the challenge with us this week. We'd love to see your creations.
We are looking to recruit two new members to out DT, so if you are interested pop over to the TT challenge blog and send us an email telling us a bit about yourself and what you like to create.

Thanks for stopping by I do appreciate it.

Love Pat xx

Sketch Saturday

Hi there, hope your day has been good. I had a bit of retail therapy today although I didn't get anything very exciting except for some ribbon which always does excite me. I'm afraid it's a big weakness of mine but you never can have too much ribbon can you?

I decided to join in the Sketch Saturday challenge again this week. I like this challenge because you aren't restricted to using a particular brand, it's all down to the Sketch which is another fabulous one this week. There's an added incentive to join in an SU tag punch so pop over and check it out.

I used some lovely pearl rainbow paper and the gorgeous Dreamcatcher digital image by Sugar Nellie that I downloaded from Funky Kits and coloured with copics and stickles on the wings and dreamcatcher. The rosebuds are stickled and the larger flower is cut from grunge paper coloured with distress inks and stickles. The ribbon, charm and gems are all from stash. I think the next time I use this image I will layer the wings and skirt.

Thank you so much for stopping by, why don't you leave me a comment that way I can come and visit you.
Please stop by tomorrow to check out my Tuesday Taggers creation.
Love,
Pat xx

Morning dear friends. Well as promised here is another peek at Popcorn the cutest bear in town.

I've completed a challenge!

Afternoon each and all, and I hope you are having a good day. I had some bad news this morning that my dear uncle passed away last night. He was admitted to hospital last week and we knew he wouldn't recover but neverless it is still a shock when it finally happens. Anyway he had reached a good age and has had a good life with his loving wife and two fabulous daughters and their families. May he rest in peace.

I haven't entered any challenges lately except for the TT that is so I decided to give the
Sketch Saturday challenge a go this week. There is a fabulous sketch to follow and it's sponsored by Simon Says Stamp so you might want to check it out.
Here is my little creation.
Papers :- Laura Ashley
Image:- SCADC stamp by Elisabeth Bell (available at Crafters Companion) coloured with copics
Embelishments and ribbon from stash.

That's it from me for today but if you stop by tomorrow I'll have a sneak preview of something new!!
Take care,
Love Pat xx

Tuesday Taggers challenge - Tag it with Birds

Hi there, hope you are all safe and warm
Well it's Tuesday again and time for the Tuesday Taggers challenge. This week the theme is tags & birds which doesn't mean your creation has to be a tag. As usual you can design whatever takes your fancy be it a card, tag, atc, box, well pretty much anything as long as there is a tag and bird somewhere.
I decided to go for a tag this week. I stamped the background with Crafty Individuals swirls
which I embossed in gold. Edged the heart with itty bitty beads. Used the little birdie stamp that came free with Craft Stamper mag back in May (I think) stamped onto some rainbow paper. The ribbon came from a chocolate box!

Please do pop over to the TT challenge blog to check out the DT's fabulous creations and I do hope you will play along with us this week, that would be fantastic.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love Pat xx

The party's over.

Good morning bloggers. Well todays the day that we try and get back to normality (whatever that is) after the Christmas and New Year break. Not only have we had Christmas and NY to celebrate in our house it was also our Ruby (40) Wedding Anniversary on 27th December. Yes I was a child bride LOL! Here is the card I made for my hubby.

I was really short of ideas for a card for this special occasion but then I remembered the cute Henry mouse stamp that I got at the NEC in November. Isn't he such a sweetie.

  • Stamp WOJ Henry mouse coloured with Distress inks.
  • Papers K & co
  • Nestie labels, MS doily punch
  • Flowers, pearls & Ribbons from stash.

Unfortunately the photo isn't the best as the colours are more intense in reality.

I would like to thank everyone who joined in the Stampman blog over the last week and left such lovely comments on my blog. I do hope you enjoyed taking part as much as we all enjoyed hosting it. I'd like to wish you all good luck for winning one of the 16 fantastic prizes. Well done everyone!

Don't forget to check out the Tuesday Taggers challenge on Tuesday and we'd love it if you would join in .

Thanks for stopping by.
