New Crafters Companion Site
Hi Everyone,
Thought I'd just pop on to say hello to anyone who might stop by from the new CC site. It's certainly been worth the wait, hope you all like it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit me. I'm not too hot at the techie stuff but I am trying, very trying at times my hubby might say. I shall persevere and who knows one day it might be as good as Jacquies! Some hopes.
Well please pop by again and let me know what you think.
Happy crafting

Busy Week
Well I am just coming down to earth after a few hectic days. On Wednesday last I went up to Darlington ready for Crafters Companion's Craftaganza on Thursday & Friday. We had an absolutely brilliant time even better than last year. The following experts took workshops, Jayne Nestorenko, Wendie Rhodes, Michelle Marsden, Noreen from flowersoft, Kaye from Sakura and of course Sara from Crafters Companion. The workshops were brilliant and the evening entertainment was funpacked. Sara, her family and her team certainly know how to put on a good "do". Thanks Sara, can't wait for next year.
Got back from Darlington Friday night exhausted but managed to drag myself to Cliff Richard's concerts at the NIA in Birmingham on Saturday & Sunday nights. Had a great time as always, he puts his heart and soul into his concerts and everyone has a brilliant time. I was worn out just watching and I just don't know how he manages to keep up the performance night after night, singing and dancing like a young wipersnapper.
Well have chilled out the last couple of days but I must get back to finishing the Christmas cards!!!

Vintage Times CD's
Hi I'm back again, whats going on? I seem to be ahead of myself today, I've even managed to get all the ironing done and make a card for my brother in law. Just thought I'd upload some piccies of some card samples I did for Sara's new CD's Vintage Times. If you like Vintage you'll love these CD's.
The card with the teabag on the front has a detachable book mark. I got a new trimmer and it had a perforating blade so I just had to use it. How many paper trimmers does a girl need? Loads is my answer. Actually the trimmers and the ribbon are taking over my craft room.
Well must go and try to tidy the craft room after my earlier card making session. I only seem to get inspiration if I get in a mess.
Back soon (maybe!)
Cute Xmas
Well I've really got to get a wriggle on and make my Christmas cards. Actually I've made quite a lot but they've all been for Sara at CC. These two are a couple of sample cards I made, hope you like them. The bell shaped one wasn't too difficult once I'd got the bell shape right but not being too good (well hopeless if I'm honest) at drawing it took me a while.

Recently created cards
At lastI've got around to updating this blog. I've been very busy lately designing samples for Sara and I've also had a new laptop and printer which I'm still trying to get to grips with. Thought I'd post a few cards that I've made recently. The shaped cards are my own design made using the Ultimate by http://www.crafters companion.co.uk . Hope you like them.
Hopefully I'll get back soon now that I'm getting to grips with the laptop.

Cards I've made during the last week
Hi, I've had a busy week making cards for the family as well as a couple I've made for a competition. Still it's kept me out of trouble!
The 40th Anniversary card is for my brother and sister in law. I used the Cute Companions stamps and glittered with bedazzles. The Princess Castle and Train are from the Cute Companions CD.
I'll post the competition ones later when the Comps are over and I know how I got on, good or bad. Well I've got a couple more competition cards to get done and some more samples for Sara at Crafters Companion so I'd better crack on. Actually I've got a rather large basket full of ironing but I think the cards should take preference don't you!!
Happy crafting.

Quick Anniversary Card
Hi there,
Just popping on to post a quick card I made yesterday.
I needed to get a an Anniversary card done in a hurry so I turned to my bit box or should I say one of them. I always stamp up some extra images when stamping that way I'm always prepared for those last minute jobbies and also they can offer some inspiration when I have crafting block.
I used a Stamps Away medallion style clear stamp which are available from www.clevercut.co.uk (I got mine at the NEC). I cut 4 layers and coloured certain areas with Sakura Stardust pens. I layered some lovely embossed paper from Crafters Companion and some purple card that I had in my bit box (Yes another one) onto a lilac pearlescent card. Wrote on the sentiment using Stardust pens and added a little bow. Hope you like it. Sorry the picture does not do it justice, I'll have to invest in a new camera.
I've made a start this morning at sorting my craft room out after buying a couple of little plastic drawer containers from Poundland. Each container has four drawers just big enough to store embossing tools, tweezers, small scissors etc. One thing leads to another and before you know it I'm moving all the cupboards about. I'm going to be really organised now or frustrated because I can't find anything!
Well must get back to it. Speak soon (hopefully)

Heart Medallion
Hi, I'm back and thought I would add a piccy of a card I made last night for my niece's Anniversary. I was really pleased how it turned out and really didn't want to part with it. I used a heart stamp that I got when I saw Jayne Nesterenko demonstrating it on C&C. I stamped the image 4 or 5 times using black Versafine so that the delicate detail would show up and embossed using clear powder. I cut layers as for a medallion then coloured them using Twinkling H2O's. I used a pearlescent light green card and layered up a delicate embossed paper (Crafters Companion) onto some black glittery paper that I had in my box. I stamped Anniversary (from Crafters Companion Occasions Words stamp set) onto some bright pink paper cut around it with deckle scissors and fixed to bottom right with foam pads. Luckily I found some ribbon exactly the same colour pink and tied a bow which I fixed to the top right. Thought it needed a little extra so cut out a couple of little flowers from the heart design and attached them with foam pads. I don't think the picture does it justice but hope you like it. Well I'm off now to do some more cardmaking and I'll catch you soon

Thursday 31st July 2008
Hi, At last I'm back! Thought I had better make a bit of an effort, trouble is I have forgotten all that I had learnt about making this blog so I am still struggling. Anyway here is a little card I rustled up quickly today for a birthday I nearly forgot.

The cards I'm currently working on I can't upload as the products I've used are not yet available so this is one I did off Crafters Companion Girls and Boys Cd. I stamped onto fantasy fibres a technique that I hadn't tried before. If you haven't tried it give it a go it really is as easy as Jayne Nesterenko makes it look on TV.
I made little beetle charm with shrink plastic a scary experience LOL
Running out of steam today
Hi, Well I'm not too lively today, maybe that's because I sat up till 6am trying to improve this blog.
Went and bought some Sakura gel pens today and some white stazon to use on a project I'm working on for Sara at Crafters Companion. Didn't get drawn in to buying anything else, good girl aren't I? I had bought a load of ribbon ( don't you just love ribbon?) a couple of days ago so thought I had better curb my spending, well for a couple of days anyway! LOL
I'm gonna try and upload a piccy later if I can find one good enough. I'm not the greatest with a camera so we'll see. Hope you have a good weekend and visit me again soon.

Work in progress
Well what can I say this blog is still undergoing major construction. Sorry it's taking so long but I'm not too savy when it comes to this type of wizardry. I'm still sorting my slide show which hopefully I'll get sorted shortly. I might even try a guest book next, getting adventurous aren't I?

Medallion Stamping
I love rubber stamping and in particular Medallion Stamping. I got hooked on this after watching Jayne Nestorenko on Create and Craft. I think I enjoy it so much because it involves several techniques. The 3D decoupage layering and cutting, the colour co-ordinating and then of course the glittering and colouring. You can produce some stunning and very impressive cards cards using these stamps. I'm hooked.
