Summer Adorable

Another lovely day here in the west Midlands I'm glad to say.
We went for a ride out to Halfpenny Green Vineyards yesterday and as I've said before their is a lovely craft shop there, Mountain Ash Crafts. Well of course I had to have a look around and was "quite" good and only bought a new Marianne die and some Craftwork Cards fancy embossed edged cards.
Here is  one of the cards that I used with one of the gorgeous Summer Adorable stamps by the lovely Jayne Nestorenko.

The spotty paper is from my stash, the pink card is Bazzill and I've used Vintage Photo DI to colour the embossing and the swirl which is a Spellbinder die. All the images are from the Summer Adorables which I've coloured with Copics and a bit of stickles on the flowers and butterfly.
Well as the summer seems to have arrived it's so very apt that our lovely Jayne will be on Create and Craft tomorrow at 2pm and 6pm with the Summer Adorables. I'm so looking forward to seeing Jayne's new demonstrations in her very own relaxing style.

Thank you for visiting today and if you'd like to leave me a comment to say hello that would be wonderful.

Jayne's back

Well hasn't the weather been gorgeous? It's been great
spending time in the garden doing a little bit of work but mainly chillin'.
Thought I would stop by today  with the news that the one and only Jayne Nestorenko will be back on Create and Craft on Monday 28th May with her lovely Summer Adorables Collection.
So to see Jayne with brand new demonstrations and card samples tune in at 2.00pm and 6.00pm.

I'm so looking forward to seeing Jayne back on our screens she's been away far too long.

No card to share today as I've been enjoying the lovely weather and haven't done a bit of crafting. Well you have to make the most of it while it's here.

Enjoy the weekend

I'm stuffed!

Hi there dear friends. Hope your weekend is going well. We've just got back from a lovely meal out with my dear Mom who is 89 years young today.  It was a lovely meal and great to have the family all together. I think it's going to be a very lazy rest of the day because I'm fit to burst.

So while I'm sitting here lazing about I thought I'd share a couple of cards with you that I made during the week.

The first is using a Whiff of Joy image that hasn't seen the light of day for quite a while but it's one I do like. I coloured her with copics and Polychromos pencils. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background, the corner is from Wild Orchid Craft and the ribbon is from my stash.

I used a stamp which I believe I bought from Circa Design for this next card. Again I used copics and Polychromos pencils. Cheerful little chap isn't he? I used another Cuttlebug embossing folder on the navy panel.

Well looks like the weather is taking a turn for the better so hopefully we have a good week ahead  of us.  We'll have to get out there and make the most of it.
Thank you for stopping by,
Hugs

Two different styles

Hope you all had a good weekend.
I've  a few cards to share with you that I've made over the last couple of days using two completely different styles
The first two have Stampotique quirky images that I love.

This one is Gooseneck. She reminds me of my granddaughter Jessica because of her big eyes and heart shaped face.

This one is Prom Queen.
Sorry it's not a good photo but the light was not good when I took it. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

Something completely different for this one.The medallion is one I made some time ago and had stored away.I decided today was the day to use it. Plenty of glitter on there but it doesn't show too well on the photo. As many of you know I love these gorgeous medallions and was inspired by the lovely Jayne Nestorenko.
I'm entering this in the new challenge over at J & C Creations. The theme for this challenge is "All that glitters"and there is a £20 prize for one lucky winner.

Well that's it from me for the moment.
Thank you for visiting.

Michael Powell designs

Back to share a couple of cards with you that I made using the Michael Powell stamps.

I love these designs but they are a challenge to colour to get the "look".
Anyway I've tried a couple of different techniques .

For the first one I coloured some card using  Tumbled Glass,  Crushed Olive and Wild Honey distress inks and sprayed with glimmer mist.  I stamped the image onto the coloured card then added colour with watercolour pens to highlight particular areas.

The second one I coloured with copics.

I prefer the watercolour one personally but I'm not completely happy with either although they do look better in real life.  Will have to keep playing.

Thank you  for stopping by I really do appreciate it.

Some News

Good afternoon everyone.
Firstly apologies for my absence.
To be perfectly honest I've been spending a lot of my spare time using Serif Craft Artist and not producing many actual cards. It becomes a bit addictive!

Well thought I would just stop by to let you know that my lovely friend Jayne Nestorenko is back in action.

She has a lovely new range of stamps coming out very soon called "Just my Imagination"
and she has also arranged some workshops in June and July.

I've got my places booked so if you'd like to join me and the other lovely people then do pop over to Jayne's website for the details of how to book.

Well I'll try and get back with a card before too long
Enjoy what's left of the Bank Holiday,

Hugs,
Pat xx
