Excellent service!!

Just thought I'd stop by to let you know about the fantastic service I've received from the Glitter Monster Crafts. I ordered a corner rounder punch yesterday afternoon and received it this morning.  I have no connection to the company and this was my first order from them. I will definately be using them again though as I have also received a voucher for 10% off my next order. Now that's what I call service and I think we should always show our appreciation for good service.

I shall be making good use of this large corner rounder as the stationery design chosen for my son's Wedding next year involves a lot of big round corners and I didn't fancy drawing round a tape spool and then cutting by hand. No, no, no!

Off to watch a bit of tennis now.
Bye

Phew, it's all go!

Good day bloggers, hope the weather is OK for you. It's not too bad here at the moment at least it's stopped raining. It's nowhere near as hot as yesterday which is a bit of a relief.
I'm a bit behind getting this post up as my daughter moved house yesterday and it was a bit hectic to say the least. I spent most of the day helping out, well I say helping, I felt a bit of a spare part most of the time. I felt so sorry for the poor removal men humping stuff about in the hot weather. Anyway they are in the new house just have to get it how they would like it. Justine loves decorating and interior design so she'll be happy.

Now on to today new challenge at Try it on Tuesday.
This week it's ALTER something and we'd like you to alter a BOX. It can be any sort of box and we have a varied selection by the Design Team to help get your juices flowing. Don't forget we are sponsored this week by The Craft Barn who have a great selection of goodies perfect for the challenge. As always they are offering a £15 voucher so if you join us don't forget to give them a mention to be in with a chance of winning.
Here's mine

I chose to alter a chocolate box.
I was well into altering it when I realised I hadn't taken a before picture so I took a picture of the still to be covered base of the base.
I cut the side borders using an MS punch and coloured it with the Big & Juicy Spice pad using a dusting brush then stamped the leaves using an Adirondack pad. I covered the lid with Core'dinations brown card and added a doiley, coloured using the same B&J pad. I stamped some flowers and coloured them again with the same pad then spritzed with pearl Glimmer Mist.
Well better dash as lots to do again today. Do hope you'll join us for the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments.
Hugs,
Pat xx

Bits & Bobs

Well I do hope the weather picks up over the weekend because I'm fed up of waiting for the summer to arrive. It's been a miserable old day here today. Good thing Jayne Nestorenko was on Create and Craft with her fabulous new collection of Adorables so that cheered me up no end.  I just love Jayne's work and she is such a wonderful person.

In between watching Jayne and getting the ironing done I decided to create a little something for the Make my Monday challenge. This week the challenge is to create a tag and include a flower.

I raided my bits box to create this tag. Well I've vowed to use up all the bits and bobs that I keep stashing away. Even the piece of ribbon was an odd bit in my ribbon drawer. The only things not from my bits and bobs are the Beddazles but then again they are bits aren't they?
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you all have a great weekend. A sunny one we hope!

Here comes the sun!!

Well today is the summer solstice so for challenge over at Try it on Tuesday we like you to use the sun as the theme for whatever you would like to create, the choice is yours.

I would have liked to have come up with something magical in keeping with the solstice but couldn't get inspired so decide to use the SWALK stamp and greeting.

I stamped the image with Momento ink pad and coloured it with copics. I added blue sky and green grass using a blending brush and the Big and Juicy Mountain Meadow pad.  I then layered it up onto brown and purple paper (doesn't show too well on the pic.).

We had lots of lovely sunshine here yesterday but it's not looking too good today so lets hope we get lots of entries into the TioT challenge to cheer us all up.  You'll love th DT creations so please do visit the challenge blog  to check them out and hopefully feel inspired to join us.

I'm off out to get some new shoes today which makes me happy, well we all love shoes don't we? Hope you have a good day.
Hugs,

Butterfly Tag

It's Tuesday so that means another challenge over at Try it on Tuesday.
It's TAG week with the theme of BUTTERFLIES
Here is my creation.

I decided to try out the acetate and gilding flakes technique that Barbara Gray demonstrated on C&C last week. So thank you Barbara and  Gwen.
I took a sheet of double sided sticky paper and peeled away the protective paper from one side. I then inked up the stamp (Imagination) with Stazon and stamped directly onto the sticky.  I laid a piece of acetate (cut the same size as the sticky paper) over the sticky paper.  I peeled the protective paper from the back and spread gilding flakes over the sticky & voila! I then cut out the tag shape and mounted it onto a piece of cor'dinations card and distressed the edges. I added a couple of butterflies cut using an MS punch and added a bit of stickles.
Well I hope you like it and if you'd like to see more please do pop over to the Try it on Tuesday challenge blog to see what my fellow teamies have come up with. you'll be glad you did.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and it would be lovely if you decided to join us for the challenge.
Have a good day

Lovely day.

Well what funny weather, sunny one minute, downpours the next. Never mind I've had a lovely day out today with my hubby, mum and daughter. We had a ride out to the Halfpenny Green Vineyards. I had some cards to take to the Mountain Ash craft store which is based at the vineyards. They are sold to raise money for the local hospice and last year £1500 was raised which is excellent. Of course we had to visit the other little craft shops and came back with some lovely little gifts which I will be putting away for Christmas (just hope I can find them in December).   Couldn't leave without a nice cuppa and cake from the tea rooms, lovely!
When we got back I decided to make a card for my dear Sister in law who has been feeling a bit under the weather.  It was a quickie so that I could catch the post but I'm happy with the result.

The backing paper is from a Bo Bunny Grabrielle collection pad and the image is from Sheena Douglass's Wouldn it be Loverly stamp set coloured with Marvey Le Plume pens. Nestie label coloured with Antique Linen Distress Ink. The brad and tag is by Stella and Rose.
I am entering this into the Make my Monday challenge which has started up this week and the theme is red flowers.

Well that's about it from me for the moment, must get dinner sorted.
Thank you for stopping by.

Weird and Wonderful

Hi there one and all.
Well as the title says this week for the Try it on Tuesday challenge our fantastic teamie Georgina would like us to create a card following the theme Weird and Wonderful.  This week we are sponsored by One Stop Card Crafts so please don't forget to link them in your post should you decide to join us for the challenge.

I wasn't too sure where to go with this so I took a look around the Octopode Factory shop and was spoilt for choice with all the fantastic digital images.  I decided to download the Queen Elizabeth 1 image to use for my creation.

I created the background using a Creative Expressions stencil, Distress Inks. (Fired Brick and Faded Jeans) and some sequin waste with a spray of pearl Glimmer Mist. The border was cut using a wide MS border punch. I coloured the image using copics with a little touch of stickles on the crown and ruffle. The sentiment was generated on my computer using Word.

Well this is about as weird as I do but I'm sure you'd love to check out the fantastic ideas that my fellow teamies have come up with so do please pop over to the TioT blog and check them out.

Thank you for visiting me today and for leaving your much valued comments.
Hugs,
Pat xx
