Still waiting for summer

Can't believe it is now July and we still haven't had a any summer except for the odd day here and there. Hopefully it is going to improve as the week goes on so fingers crossed. We will be having a few days away in a couple of weeks so hoping for some sunshine in Suffolk. We are going to stay with John's brother and his wife at the bungalow they moved to last year so really looking forward to it. That leads me nicely to share with you a card that will be winging it's way to Suffolk for BIL birthday next week. Don't worry he wont see it as he doesn't blog.

I stamped the clocks onto some basic grey paper to create the background. Stamped and clear embossed the car onto some craft card and cut out using a  Spellbinders label. The border was cut using a docrafts die.

Now on Sunday I attended Jayne Nestorenko's workshop in Rugby and so I am going to share the two gorgeous cards we created using Jayne's new stamp set which will be available shortly on her website

The blue one is as we completed on the day but I completed the pink one at home by adding a ribbon flourish, gilt filigree flourish and some butterflies (part of the stamp set) coloured using a Sakura stardust pen to give a shimmery effect. We created the background paper too for this card by adding colour to plain paper using blending brushes and ink from DI or Adirondack pads then stamped onto it using some Inkylicious background stamps. I know I shall be using these stamps over and over again because the possibilities for creating fantastic designs are endless.  The workshop was fantastic and it was great catching up with friends including fellow blogger Elaine (Craftetter).

Before I go just want to let you know that Jayne will be on C&C on Friday at 1pm with her Christmas stamps.

Thank you so much for visiting and I'm sorry I do not blog as often as I should.

Elliot's card

Shock horror! I know 2 posts in one week what's going on?

Today I am sharing a card I made for my wonderful Grandson Elliot who turned 10 on Thursday. Where have the years gone?

He is mad keen on the X Box game Minecraft, hence the card.

I used Serif Craft Artist Professional 2 to create the design using an image that I found on the web.
The main image has been added to the base using 3D pads but the letters, although looking 3D are actually printed straight onto the paper.

We got him some goal posts and football, amongst other things, and Jon and Liz got him a Swingball set. So they will keep him happy in the garden during the summer holidays.

Bye for now

New Home

Thought it was about time I shared a card.

This one was made for my brother in law and his wife. They moved house last week after over 30 years in their home. It must have been very stressful but I'm sure they will be very happy in their new property.

The image is a Michael Powell stamp water coloured, the wording is Clarity Stamp letter box set, the banner is a La la land die and the wrought iron fence is a Spellbinder die
Thank you for visiting
