Two for one

Hi bloggers, hope your day has been good. I'm still helping my son get his house sorted so I'm having to try and fit the crafting & blogging in as and when.

My son Jonathan & his girlfriend Liz both have their birthdays today, which is somewhat unusual to say the least. Anyway I can now share the cards I made for them with you.
The images on both cards are downloads from Squigglefly coloured with copics. The BBQ image is perfect for Jonathan as he loves to cook and really enjoys a good BBQ when the weather permits. I loved the girly ostrich image when I saw it and thought it would fit the bill perfectly for girly girl Liz.

Hope you like them both.

Better go now as I've got so much to get done before tomorrow but to be honest I could just snuggle up in my bed. Maybe I'll get a sudden burst of energy in a minute but I doubt it.

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it.

Love, Pat xx

The Mad Hatter

I'm late, I'm late for a very important date no time to say hello, goodbye, I'm late, I'm late I'm late.
Apologies everyone for being so late posting my creation for Tuesday Taggers this week, if I'd left it much longer it would have become Wednesday Taggers.
Well the theme for the challenge this week is Messy hands and believe me my hands have been extremely messy this week. Not only from doing this challenge but because I've been helping my son decorate his first home that he and his girlfriend are buying. This is the reason for my being late too.
There is a bonus for entering the challenge this week, the Craft Barn have kindly sponsored us and are giving a £15 voucher for the winner chosen randomly, to spend in their fantastic shop. So big thanks to them, and good luck to everyone. Don't forget to post a link to the Craft Barn to be eligable for the prize. I must say how pleased we are to see so many entries for the challenges and what fantastic entries they are too, you clever lot. As usual you can create whatever you choose as long as it involves mess and you post a pic of your messy hands or workspace.
I decided to go with a little wall hanging this time round.
The diamonds are grunge paper embossed in the cuttlebug and coloured using a mix of Crystal laquer and cosmic shimmer mica powders. The edges have been embossed using black glitter embossing powder also cosmic shimmer.
The flowers have been stamped and embossed (black glitter EP) onto paper misted with cosmic shimmer spray then coloured with the cosmic shimmer powder.
The word love has been cut using my lovely pink slice and the edges embossed with the black glitter EP.
Just wish all the shimmer and glitter showed up on the photo.

Well thanks for stopping by and I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately but what with the decorating and also a commission I've got on the go I'm struggling to find time. You should see the mountain of washing and ironing!
Bye for now,
Love Pat xx

"Time" for another Tuesday Taggers challenge.

Hi there fellow bloggers. Hope all is well with you and that you are getting plenty of crafting done.
Well I must say we had a great number of entries for the
TT challenge last week. What a romantic lot you crafters are, the Love theme certainly got your creative juices flowing. I must say all the entries were fantastic and I can truly say how much I enjoyed visiting everyones blogs.
This week the theme is Time and Clocks and as usual whatever you decide to create is entirely up to you as long as you include something relating to the theme. Can't wait to see what you all come up with this week. We have 3 new members to our DT from this week and also a fabulous GD. Wow have they started with a bang and have come up with some sensational designs, so please pop over to the TT blog to check out all the DT projects and of course to enter the challenge.
For my card I got out the
Crafters Companion Mens CD & Stamp collection. The clock design is printed onto acetate which unfortunately doesn't show on the photo. The small watch is stamped and embossed. The paper on the corners is from a Crafty Individual image pad. The sentiment and wording is computer generated and the chain is from stash. Hope you like it.

Well thanks for visiting today and I do hope you decide to join in the challenge with us.

Take care,

Love, Pat xx

Sorry, I'm late.

Afternoon friends, sorry I am late posting this challenge creation but I've only just about come to life today. Got up feeling one degree under but back in the land of the living now so here I am.
Well as it's Tuesday it's time for Tuesday Taggers challenge and the theme for this week is Love. Very appropriate with Valentines day on Sunday but if you decide to join in the fun with us this week your project doesn't have to be for Valentines whatever you would like as long as LOVE is involved somewhere. If you'd like some inspiration please pop over to the TT challenge blog to check out the fantastic creations that my fellow DT taggers have come up with. We have a very talented guest DT member this week, Joan and she has created a fabulous project.
I decided to use the cute Henry mouse from Whiff of Joy and I coloured him using distress inks, then layered onto an odd piece of paper that I had coloured with distress inks and glimmer mists. I cut the border using MS border punch and cut the Love using my new pink Slice. Ribbon , brad and DP from my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I do hope you decide to play along with us this week. Looking forward to seeing your creations.
Love, Pat xx

Switched off

Hi there blogging buddies, hope you're having a good day. Bit hectic here today. Work is still going on with the wet room and we have had the electricians in today. Made us realise just how much electric we use during the course of the day. Decided I'd get some crafting done and was in full swing when I realised I couldn't use the printer. The computer was charged so that was OK but no internet then the battery ran out. John has a community alarm which went into overdrive because there was no power and the lady kept coming on to check if everything was OK. Our daughter phoned but because there was no power to the phone the call came through on the community alarm. So her voice was coming through the box and goodness knows how that works. Confused? well if your not I am.

Anyway it's back on, well for the moment anyway. So here is the pic of the card that I had intended to post earlier. I have made this for my Son and his GF as they will be moving into their house tomorrow. It also fits the bill for the challenge over at Sir Stampalot. They have a fantastic blog hop going on with some absolutely fabulous prizes. Why not get yourselves to Brenda's blog to join in the fun.

The images on this card are digital stamps from Squigglefly which I coloured with copics. There were 5 houses in this download and I chose to use three of them this time around. While I was there I downloaded a couple more which you'll see in a couple of weeks time as I got them to make birthday cards for my son and his gf who both celebrate their birthdays on 24th. If you haven't checked out the Squigglefly site you really should as there are images to suit every occasion.

Well off now to do a bit of printing now the electric's back.
See you soon
Love, Pat xx

I love Popcorn!

Teddy bears
Good morning one and all. Firstly I would like to thank everyone who joined in with last weeks challenge Jigsaws. We had some amazing entries, what a talented bunch of bloggers you are.
Well the theme for this week is Teddy Bears so this one was quite easy for me and who else could I use but the cutest bear on the block Popcorn.
As an added incentive to join in with us this week there is a £15 voucher so kindly donated by the Craft Barn. They have a fantastic selection of goodies in their store well worth checking out. Our DT member Michelle is now a member of their amazing design team, well done Michelle. To be eligable for the prize you will need to display the Craft Barn Logo on your blog.
The DT have come up with some fabulous creations to give you inspiration so please pop over and check them them out. Can't wait to see what you all come up with.
I decided to use a stamp from the Popcorn Romance collection and one of the papers from the CD. I coloured it with copics. The ribbon & flowers are from my stash.

Well thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to be able to visit you soon to see your fabulous creations. Don't forget to display the Craft Barn logo.
Bye for now,
Pat xx
