Alter it - Transform a can

Oh dearie, dearie I'm late again with my DT piece for this weeks challenge at Try it on Tuesday. I really must do better. I'm afraid I've been trying to get a lot of my shopping done online which has eaten into my blogging time. Well if you are trying to find something you can't just get it from the first site can you? You have to trawl around for the best price. At least it's better than trawling the crowded shops which I hate.
I had intended to upload my creation this morning but ran out of time before we went out for the day.  We had a lovely day out visiting my lovely friend Jayne Nestorenko and she took us to a fabulous garden centre for tea and a good old chinwag.
So here is my transformed can. It was meant to be a bean can but I used a Pepsi can.

I covered the can with white tissue paper (If I'd had a roll of cotton wool I'd have used that). Used a silver bauble for the head as I didn't have a white one.  I used buttons for buttons!! Beads for the eyes and nose. The hat is a doctored ribbon spool coloured with acrylic paint.
The challenge is sponsored this week by our good friends at the Craft Barn who are donating a £15 voucher to spend on their fabulous website. So if you decide to join us don't forget to put a link in your post.
As you would expect the DT have done some great transformations to get you inspired so please do check them out.
Thank you for stopping by today
Hugs
Pat xx
