Memories

Tuesday Taggers Challenge
Memories
(please link them in your post
in order to enter the prize draw)
Hi there! Well time for another challenge at Tuesday Taggers and this week the theme has been set by our fantastic and extremely talented teamie Michelle. I think this theme offers plenty of scope design wise and I just can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
As usual we don't mind what you create as long as it fits the theme of memories. We are sponsored this week by the Craft Barn so don't forget to post a link to them to be in with a chance of winning their fabulous prize of a £15 voucher to be spent in their online store.
If you need inspiration check out the DT fanatstic creations which I'm sure will get your juices flowing.
Here's what I came up with.
I haven't done any stamping at all on this card so you would think not much work to do. Well you'd be right except for the fact that the flippin Fleur de Lis pendant shapeability (available from the Craft Barn) although gorgeous is a b***** to get out of the die. Incase any of you are having the same problem I'll share a little tip that I came up with after I'd prodded and poked for what seemed an age. I placed a piece of thin cards between the die and the card I wanted to cut the shape out of and ran it through the bug. The die cut through both layers leaving the thin card in the die and the other loose, voila!
Now then here's what I used. The image is from a Crafty Individual miniatures pad Places and  People (available from the Craft Barn) and does have the word memories on it although it's not showing up too well on the photo. The DP's are Basic Grey sugared and a Laura Ashley (top layer), the ribbon is one I salvaged from a box of chocs (they were yummy!)

Phew that was quite a long winded post wasn't it, hope you didn't get too bored with my witterings. Looking forward to checking out your creations.
Catch you soon
Hugs, Pat xx

60's Tilda

Hiya, hope you are enjoying your weekend and have had some nice sunshine.

Thought I would just pop on and share this little card with you.

I have had this cute Tilda stamp for quite some time and had never got around to using it, although I love it. I coloured her with my whisper pens and sat her down on a shapeablity. I edged the paper, which I believe is retro flowers but can't remember who it's by , using an MS punch. The sentiment is Craftwork Cards and the flowers, pearls & ribbon are from stash.

I've decided to enter this into the Just Magnolia challenge this week as the theme is Anything Goes so no sketch or theme to follow. I've just checked out the DT creations and they are amazing as always.

Well better go and get some lunch prepared before I collect Mum.

Catch you later,

Hugs, Pat xx

Whoops I'm late.

Tuesday Taggers Challenge
Dragons

Hi there firstly I must apologise for being so late posting this. Been out all day and when I got back we had a power cut and we've only just got power back. Usually schedule the post and typically when I don't problems. Never mind I'm here now.

This week we would like you to use a dragon somewhere in your creation. As always we don't mind what you choose to create, we are very easy going like that. We love to see all the variations on a theme it's what makes it so interesting.

The design team have come up with some fantastic ideas so please pop over and check them out. You'll see that Tanda Stamps are sponsoring the challenge this week, so please link them on your blog and you'll be in with a chance of winning. More details on the TT challenge blog.

Here's what I came up with. I decided on a tag this week.

The image was on my computer and I can't remember where it came from. I coloured it with copics. The background was made using distress inks, dusty concord and worn lipstick spritzed with iridescent gold glimmer mist. The sequin waste ribbon and brad are from my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I look forward to checking out your creations.

Patchwork Polly & Friends designed by Jayne Nestorenko

Hi there dear friends just popped back to let you know about the launch of the super talented Jayne Nestorenko's new stamp collection for Crafters Companion, Patchwork Polly & Friends. The show will be live tomorrow between 10am & 12 noon on Create and Craft, Sky 671.

I must say these stamps are just so adorable and it's been an absolute pleasure and honour to have been working with them. I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them and I am sure that they are gonna be a big big hit. You really wont want to miss this show so if you wont be in please remember to set your recorder. You might want to check out the CC website and gallery too.

Here are a couple of my samples by way of a sneak peak.

I'll be back tomorrow with some more.

Enjoy the show.

Phew what a busy weekend!

Hi there, hope you all had a good weekend enjoying the lovely sunshine. Do hope the volcanic ash fiasco hasn't inconvenienced you in any way. I feel so sorry for people who have had to cancel their holiday plans and of course those stuck away from home. Our son's flight back from Ireland was cancelled yesterday but fortunately they had the forsight to book the ferry crossing as soon as they could but still have to wait until tomorrow. Good job they booked when they did as it was soon fully booked.
I've had no travel problems this weekend just been rushed off my feet doing card samples for a Crafters Companion show that has been brought forward to Wednesday. Now I'm waiting patiently for the courier to come and collect them, do hope he arrives as I would hate to have done all that work for them then not to get there.
While I'm on here thought I might as well upload a little card I made for a friend last week. As you can see it's a sympathy card and I thought the so cute WOJ Henry would send much love.
I coloured him with distress inks and the papers, sentiment & candy are by Craftwork Cards. The lovely braid is from stash.

Well better go and get sorted before the Grandchildren arrive from school. They are staying over tonight which will be nice if a little bit hectic.

Sorry I haven't done much visiting the last few days but I'll try and make up this week.

Hugs, Pat.

It's Party Time!

Cake & Balloons

Hi, how's things? Well it's Tuesday again, where has the last week gone? We had fantastic entries for the Tag challenge last week, seems you all got inspired for that one and really came up with some inspirational entries.

Well this week we are back to creating anything you like as long as you follow the theme of Cake & Balloons which has been chosen by our fabulous and talented teamie Emma. It's Emma's birthday this week, have a great day hun, hence the choice. Emma is also sponsoring the challenge this week and is offering one lucky person a selection of Stampin' Up products and also the chance of being Guest Designer for a week.

Here is my little number. The paper is from Crafters Companion's Cute Companions CD by the inspirational Jayne Nestorenko. The image is another of Elizabeth's coloured with copics and with a touch of stickles for good measure. I layered it onto the petit oval nesties I got from NEC. The ribbon is from stash, the charm is from Hobby House and the sentiment is Craftword Cards.

Do please pop over to the TT blog to check out the DT fantastic creations and get some inspiration, if you need any that is. Looking forward to visiting and checking out your designs.

Tag along with us

Tuesday Taggers challenge.

Give us a Tag

Hi there, hope you got plenty of chocolate and had a good Easter. I would just like to thank everyone who joined in the TT challenge last week, what fabulous creations. Also I would like to thank everyone for leaving such lovely comments on the TT blog, it really does mean a lot to us.

Well usually we say you can create whatever you fancy but this week would like to get back to our roots and ask you to create a tag. This challenge has been set by our fabulous guest designer Georgina Ellis who is also our sponsor, so kindly donating a stamp plate by Paper Artsy . As always the DT have come up with some fantastic designs and if you pop over and check them out I'm sure you will agree. Do hope you decide to join in with the fun this week and look forward to checking out your creations.

I decided to create a tag notebook and got out the Distress inks using Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint & Tattered Rose to create the paper which I layered onto a tag cut from cream pearl card. I then used a clear embossing pen to draw the cracks and embossed with gold embossing powder. The image is stamped using the stamp that came with the March edition of Craft Stamper. I used Dusty Concord around the edges and coloured the image lightly with copics. The buttons and fibres are from stash and are actually purple not blue as they appear on the photo.

Thanks for popping over and I'm looking forward to checking out your creations. Oh and don't forget to put a link to Georgina's blog in your post so that you can be included in the prize draw.

Have a good day.

Is this Spring?

Good Evening, well hasn't it been a miserable old day? Well it has here in the West Midlands of England, started the day with sunshine but soon became wet and dismal. It's Spring!!
Thought I would just pop on and show this card that I made for my SIL, it's her birthday on Sunday, so hope the Easter bunny is extra kind to her.
I made this card up in a bit of a rush but decided to try some of my NEC purchases. The stamps are Clarity on a brayered background. I created blossom and grass from flower soft. The MS border and the gems are also NEC purchases but the ribbon is from my stash. Gonna have to set aside some time to have a good play with the Clarity stamps I bought but goodness knows when that will be. I've got so much going on that the moment, crafting and other things I don't know how I'm gonna fit it all in. Added to that I strained the muscles in my back about 10 days ago and I'm still in quite a bit of pain. Enough of my whinging, I've got plenty of good things to look forward to and enjoy.

Just off to watch Master Chef, just wish I could taste what they cook.
Thanks for stopping by,
Love Pat xx
