Feel the Beat

I'm back to share a few makes from the last couple of weeks.
It was my Son and DIL's birthdays on 24th so the first two are cards I made for them.
The first one I made for Jonathan using a Visible Image stamp on a background created with distress inks and circles by Rubberdance.

This next one is Liz's birthday card. I was trying out a technique I had seen on YouTube by Rachel Black, gesso resist.  I love Rachel's videos, she is so talented.

This is my practice piece

Finally the card I have made for Mother's Day. No need to worry Mom's not computer savvy, well she is 92! Spellbinders cut out panel onto glitter card. Clarity letterbox, stamped flowers and stickles.

Well thanks for visiting

Stamping fun

Just one card to share today.
After watching a few YouTube videos this afternoon I felt the crafting urge and decided to use this lovely girl by Stampotique. The fishnet is a stamp by Visible Image, who by the way are on Create and Craft tomorrow with their new designs. The circles are from a set of stamps by Rubberdance.
I used Distress Inks, Picked Raspberry, Peacock feathers, squeeze lemonade and peeled paint.
I love taking a  stamp and just going with thee flow, especially with these quirky stamps

I always think of my lovely Granddaughter when I use this stamp because she is very much her own person and has gorgeous big eyes.

Hope to be back soon

Watering Can workshop

Here is a pretty watering can I made today
at Sunrise Crafts in Wombourne.
Sue Jennings took the workshop today and we had a lovely time as we always do at Sunrise. Unfortunately Bhanu our host was not able to join us as she is recovering at home after having an operation.

We used a variety of squares and rectangles cut from pretty papers and used them to cover the card shape, edging all the pieces with distress ink. We added a touch of gold embossing powder here and there around the edges.  We then added the finishing touches with die cut leaves and flowers.

We were all really pleased with the results and they would make lovely gifts.

Kind regards
Pat xx
