Back again.

Here is a small selection of cards that I made at the end of 2013
The first one I made for my Granddaughter Jessica's birthday in November. She plays guitar and so I thought this Kenny K image would be perfect and I just had to include her  favourite bands didn't I?

This next one was made for a friends wedding in November. The image is a Michael Powell design and the letters and bunting are a la Barbara Gray.

It was my daughters birthday in October and this is the card I made for her. I saw these stamps in Craft Stamper mag and just had to get them. I masked the lady image and then stamped the days of the week. The dress is paper pieced and the rest has been colured with copics. I highlighted the Saturday with glitter as that was the day of her birthday.

I used the same image for these next three card which are all on the same theme.

Well hope you liked this small selection from the end of 2013 while I was missing.

Thanks for looking

New Year catchup

Surprise Surprise
The wanderer returns again!

I have badly neglected my blog these past few months and have decided that I should get myself back in the saddle.
I'm gonna try and get things up to date so here we go.
Here is a short synopsis of whats been happening since I was last here.
Well at the end of August I fell while hanging my curtains and badly strained the ligaments in my foot. Four months on and I am still walking with a limp and using a stick outdoors. I managed to get to Jayne N's workshop on September 1st thanks to my wonderful son driving me there and back.
In October I went to Jayne's weekend workshop which was fantastic and we had a real good time
November I had a great time at a friends hen night at a Greek restaurant and then attended the wedding which was an experience as the couple are heavy metal fans and entertained us with a Metallica tribute band and rock disco, It was loud!
I went to a Maria Simms workshop in December and it was brilliant. She is such a talented and lovely lady.
My daughter had got me tickets to see Sarah Millican for my birthday in October so we went to see her in December. Unfortunately when I got home John wasn't too well and had to be admitted to hospital. He was home for Christmas and is doing ok  but now has a load of hospital appointments for January.
So there you have it I'm up to date.

Here are a few of the cards that I made for Christmas

I'll pop back tomorrow and share some more cards that I have made since I was last here.

The wanderer returns

It's been a while but I'm back to share a few cards that I've created while I've been absent.
Well my son and daughter in law celebrated their 1st Wedding Anniversary on the 3rd and I just can't believe it's been that long since what was a wonderful day. Where does the time go?
So here is the card I made for them

The card is infact aubergine although it does look black in the photo. The heart cut out was done with a Spellbinder die and is the one used for the wedding stationery. The other dies used are Xcut border die and Laa laa land banner which I adore.

When I received this months copy of Craft Stamper magazine I just loved the Kay Carley creations using  PaperArtsy stamps: JOFY collection 11 designed by Jo Firth-Young and had to order them straight away. So here are a few cards I made with them following Kay's inspiration.

For those who haven't seen the article in the magazine Kay coloured the images using copics (any alcohol pen) and  used Distress Inks for the background.

I have also been "playing" with Jayne N's new mask stamp set and hopefully will be able to share them with you soon. This stamp set is amazing. Hopefully they will be available on Jayne's site before too long.
