Out with the bleach.

I decided it was about time I got the bleach out. No don't panic I haven't been doing the dreaded HW just decided to have a play with embossing folders and a bit of bleach.

The inspiration for this card began when I realised I hadn't used my Martha Stuart around the page punches for a long while. So out came the punch and lying on my desk was an odd (not strange!) piece of brown bazzill card and it progressed from there. I decided to emboss the centre of the cut square and came across the lovely bird folder ( something else that I had neglected to use for a while). That's when the bleaching technique came to mind, so I painted the embossed image with the bleach and voila! I prettied the shabby design up (roughed up the edges and added glitter) with some glittered butterflies cut with an MS punch and some flowers made with organza ribbon.
I did bleach the kitchen sink while I'd got the bleach out  so that  I didn't feel too guilty (as if!).

Getting messy with alcohol inks

Good afternoon from a nice and sunny West Midlands.
The card I have to share with you today was created using Alcohol inks to create the background.  I just love messing about making backgrounds and seeing the amazing results you can get just rubbing, spodging, flicking, swirling etc. The trouble is you get one you like and it's virtually impossible to replicate it but then that's half the fun that no two are alike.
So without further ado here is the card

The stamp I used is by Inkilicious and I used Adirondac ink pad. Simple but effective I hope you'll agree.
Well that's it for now
Thank you for stopping by

Out comes the glitter

Hi everyone.
I've been doing a bit of glittering this week. I decided to get out this gorgeous butterfly that I bought back in the day. I love this stamp because it is so pretty and it lends itself so well to layering and glittering which I love.

I decided to make it into an easel card.

The card and layers were cut using a Go Kreate large die set and the sentiment was cut using a Spellbinder die. I created the butterfly paper by stamping onto centura pearl with Stazon. |The small butterflies have been cut using a Martha Stuart punch.

Thank you for visiting
